When Faz is interviewed by Larry Pinnacle from FIT (Force Investigation Team), he realizes that Andrea is giving a different story about what happened at the Lopez shooting. She even said that he yelled, “Gun.” What did you make of all of this at the time?

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3484 comments It solidified my thought that she was a bad cop. Why would she do that if she didn't have anything to do with Monique's death?

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 9289 comments Mod
Wow, just wow. I wanted to have her arrested right away. I wondered if Faz hadn’t been distracted by Vera’s cancer diagnosis would he have handled this differently. Coupled with Del being sidelined, he felt isolated and alone.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3484 comments You know, like Kins, Del surprised me. In the last book, I felt like Faz did everything he could to help Del. In this book, it felt like it took a little time for Del to believe Faz's story. I agree that he was distracted by Vera's health issues, but he wouldn't lie about his actions. Del should know that.

Two of my favorite support characters, Del and Kins, let me down with their actions.

I wanted her arrested too.

I felt like Del was more worried that Faz might have been distracted. They had recently attended a conference about recall and how personal distractions could affect it. I gave him a pass for that reason. I’m still a little bit miffed with Kins.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I was sure Gonzalez was a bad cop. I couldn't think of any other reason she would lie.

I agree with Jonetta about Del and Faz. I think the conference they attended made Del question if Faz had been too distracted to recall exactly what happened in that hallway.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3484 comments I get what you are both saying, but these two are long time partners.

Faz wasn't confused when he told the investigators right after the shooting. How could he yell "gun" when he was facing in the other direction? His partner should give him the benefit of the doubt until they prove otherwise.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments What will the FIT team think when Gonzalez tells them she lied?

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 9289 comments Mod
Gonzalez was just placed there temporarily, right?

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments Yes, she should be returning to her old job.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3484 comments That shooting still doesn't feel right Gonzalez is an officer of the law. She can't go around shooting people without cause.

Sharon, I remain troubled by everything she did.

~Melissa~ | 429 comments Solidified my bad cop thoughts for her and now you're blaming the good cop for your mistake. All I could think was poor Faz - doesn't he have enough to worry about with Vera getting cancer and now he has to deal with this as well.

I'm with you Sharon - Del upset me with his questioning Faz on this and not having his back. He slightly made it better when he goes to scope out the apartment and saw for himself what Faz was saying and how it made sense.
