Faz decides to surreptitiously follow Andrea Gonzalez, sees her meet the man he passed in the hallway at Lopez’s apartment building, follows him and gets caught by Little Jimmy’s gang. Faz gets severely beaten, almost murdered. What did he do right? What should he have done?

His big mistake was not calling for backup or contacting Del before entering the storage facility. He did an excellent job following Andrea and documenting what he saw. Again he missed an opportunity when he didn't send the pictures to Del.

I was worried that Vera would have to deal with her husband's death and cancer. I prayed that the story wouldn't go there.

Sharon, I really thought we might have seen the last of Faz. This was so hard to listen to, especially during the most severe part of the beating. It almost brought me to tears.

I agree with everything you said. I know things were moving fast but he was alone in unchartered territory and needed to let somebody know where he was.

I thought he handled Little Jimmy perfectly psychologically. That may have delayed things enough for his rescue. He really got into his head as well as those of his henchmen.

He did handle Little Jimmy perfectly. Like that old commercial, he never let them see him sweat.

I almost cried too. I was worried.

That had to have rattled Jimmy, that Faz never showed fear or backed down.

This situation did have me worried. I wondered if the author would kill off one of the established characters like Faz. I didn't think he would, given what was happening to Vera.

I agree with both of you on what Faz did wrong and right. Talking to Jimmy (and his minions) about what would happen if he killed a cop was a great idea. It bought him some time for the cops to arrive and made Jimmy back off.

Definitely should've kept Dell in the loop on where he was at all times. So that at least someone would know his last known whereabouts. Even though I was worried for Faz - I didn't think Dugoni would kill him off. Him and Dell are too good of side kicks and partners for him to be killed off.

I kept telling myself that, Melissa, but you just never know.
