Hi again!

So, do you sleep/nap during the readathon? All at once? Or in short naps?

I tried once not to, but I was exhausted for over a week! Dangers of being chronically ill I guess. So now I try to get at least a few hours of sleep. This time I got a little under 5 hrs of sleep. (all at once) So now I'm ready to tackle the rest of the readathon.

Ann A (readerann) | 867 comments I'm an insomniac, so I rarely nap. I did just snooze for almost 3 hours - which is about normal for me for a readathon.

I slept a few hours, enough that I had to pull out my print copy of my audiobook and backtrack to where I fell asleep in my audiobook. Usually I try to pull a solid all-nighter on 24hr readathons, but I must be getting 'old' this year.

Cathy (cathepsut) | 572 comments I‘m definitely too old to stay up 24 hours. My body doesn‘t like it, I would be a wreck for days afterwards. Plus it is just too much effort, I can‘t be bothered. So, yes, I sleep during readathons. Preferably 4-5 hours at a stretch. Napping makes it worse.

Susy (susysstories) | 2288 comments I always sleep around 6 hours, in 1 go. Even then it’s always difficult to not fall asleep in the last hour(s) of the readathon.

Jamie | 412 comments I usually go for 4-5 hours sleep and maybe a short (30 min) nap at some point. I got just over 6 this time. I won't fight what my body says it needs anymore. Like Avid said, my body will penalize me for days after if I do.

Jennifer | 80 comments I am disabled and skipping sleep isn't an option. I stick to my regular schedule, and focus on reading during my waking hours.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who can't pull off 24-hrs with no sleep.
