I don't understand half of what this article is talking about, but I can see it providing lots of fodder for SF writers.

Anna Erishkigal (annaerishkigal) The kids watched it with us, but then they were like 'meh ... too boring' afterwards because it's a thinking man's movie and not like Avengers Blow-Them-All-Up. The special effects were breathtaking, and Matthew McConhaughy is of course wonderful in it.
