Chapter 1 – 4 : (view spoiler)[GAAHH I had almost forgotten how big of a cliffhanger the previous book had ended on. Halle is a shifter now which is a m a z i n g! But I also understand why she’s angry at Cato although I do not believe she is completely herself atm, I am not sure whether Cato really just wanted to save Halle or getting rid of the curse was the main motive (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 5 – 10 : (view spoiler)[I am mindblown by the way everything is so gracefully explained in this book, shapeshifters although a distant fantasy, everything about them, the whole Eda theory and the reason they went feral plus the cure, all has its own reason and I am absolutely loving it. Jax being alive was such a huge surprise and although I am happy I am also worried about what it means for Theo (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 11 – 15 : (view spoiler)[Theo being jealous of Jax and Halle’s closeless makes sense ngl, I feel really bad for him. But since no one is really at fault here I am at a loss about who to blame in this situation except for Cato. He created such a huge mess. I am also not liking the suppressants and am thinking maybe they’d harm Halle somehow? (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 16 – 21 : (view spoiler)[UGH now I want a wolf to go feral and kill this President Astor first, I don’t like her AT ALL. The way Theo supports Halle every time is so endearing, I just absolutely love than man. I liked Jax as well in the previous book but idk, I am not really thrilled by him being back in this one. Finished: (view spoiler)[THE HELLL THIS AGAIN ENDED AT ANOTHER CLIFFHANGER I AM SO SO FRUSTRATED! I want to read more now! President Astor turned out to be even more cunning than I could have imagined and I believe that the next book is going to be EPIC! (hide spoiler)]

Sorry that I am so late in starting this one. My family got Covid and we are still in the throes of it so I got a little behind. I plan on starting this one in the next several days.

So Halle’s dad released the curse then. I kind of feel sorry for him with all of those voices but at the same time he seems like a coward.

Halle seems really powerful. She was able to stop the ferals when they attacked so she must be able to break the curse. I wonder how she is supposed to break it permanently? (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[I really don’t like the president. I think that she definitely has some nefarious ulterior motives for the things that she does.

Jax is alive! Holy hell, I knew it! I had a feeling that he would show up again at some point. I am not shocked that he is in love with Halle. This new dynamic with him is interesting. With Theo as Halle’s mate and Jax still clearly in love with him there is a lot of tension. And honestly, Halle still cares about Jax and hasn’t fully accepted her mate bond with Theo. So it’s all up in the air. I am really love Theo and Jax’s pissing contests so far though. It’s entertaining.

I think that Halle refusing to shift is going to be bad. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[It kind of is a hopeless situation. It's great that Jax didn't die and that he is okay now but those feelings aren't just going to disappear from him or from Halle. Even with the mate bond in place with Theo. It will just make things harder for her since she has legitimate feelings and cares about them both. And Cato shouldn't have done what he did but at the same time I kind of pity him for what he had to deal with with the curse. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Well, President Astor is evil. I know that she is up to something nefarious. This tour is probably not going to go well for Halle.

I am glad that Halle put Jax in his place about their relationship. It really must be hard for both of them. Halle used to be in love with him but things have changed. She can’t erase her mate bond with Theo and even if she could she has come to care about him too. Jax seems determined though. I hope he doesn’t do anything drastic to betray Halle so he can try and be with her in the end. That would break my heart.

I wonder what the reason is for the state of JJ and Lennox. They seemed a little worse for wear. And then Theo’s insistence that she keep taking the pills makes me think that they tampered with them or something in secret. (hide spoiler)]

I actually think that Jax being around has been fairly entertaining. It's so sad that he was in love with Halle all that time and now that they have a chance to be together she is mated to Theo. I really hope that things work out for everyone. I like Jax for the most part. He comes on a little strong but he has also known Halle for most of her life. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[So Halle went into heat. Interesting. I think that I am on Halle’s side when it comes to Theo taking control of her. She wants him to pursue her and get a little rough with her, I think. I am totally on board for that. Theo should nix the gentlemanly act once in a while. =P

I have a feeling that Jax’s friend making session with some of the other packs will prove extremely useful for Halle when it comes to allies.

I just knew that President Astor was up to no good. That bitch! I am glad that Halle got away. What she did was awesome. She cancelled out the prodigy system and severed the prodigy bonds. It was badass. It makes me happy to know that it pissed off Astor.

Well, now we have to wait until October to read the rest. Can’t wait! (hide spoiler)]
