Ok so I think its clear I need to try to manage how many series I'm reading at the same time!!! I'm going to try to finish some of these series before I start my very big list of series I want to start. As at 31 December 2022 I have:
8 completed series (with no further books expected)
4 completed series (to date)
2 series I'm giving up on
29 ongoing series (which I'm midway through)
44 series which I've not yet started
Hopefully by the end of the year I can complete a few of these series (without starting too many new series from my list). I expect I'll come up with some more series that I'm midway through too, lol - Not achieved as I started loads more series than I completed this year.
I just accidentally started a new series...What Katy did...as I needed to read a classic book for the 52 book club's summer genre challenge. Well that's another series on my list of ones I'm midway through!!!
That's another new series I just started...The Princess behind the veil, which I've been meaning to read for ages...so I don't know how I'd forgotten to add it to this list until now!
So my goal for 2023 is to finish/progress my ongoing series and limit how many new series I start!!!!2022 achievement:

So it's clear I've decided to drop many series that I was working on this year. I am up to date on more series than I was at the end of last year, however I am now midway through 2 more series than I was last year. Overall I'm pretty pleased with my progress and I am planning to continue my focus on series in 2024.

32 series I've not yet started -6 series waiting to be started
OK so I've made some progress on completing series & getting more up to date. I want to focus on this more in 2025 so I'm setting a goal to finish 12 series in 2025.
I've also done well at DNF'ing series where I'm not wanting to continue them.
However I have 16 more series that I'm midway through...this is because I've read book 1 of a lot of series. So hopefully my goal to finish more series will make me more conscious of whether I need to start any new series!!!
Overall a good year working towards my series goals....let's see how I can do in 2025 :-)
I've started tracking my ongoing series on a spreadsheet instead of on here. I'll still update my series progress at the start and end of the year on my 2025 progress page. At start of 2025 I was in the middle of (or own at least 1 book from) 78 series and had 8 series that I'm up to date on. I didn't add completed series to my new tracker.
My aim for 2025 is to keep those 8 series up to date and to catch up/complete another 12 series. This is achievable but will need me to focus on which books I'm reading this year...and hopefully not start too many series that I haven't already got planned!!!
