Team Paris - Comedy

Once upon a time there has been a girl called Wendy, who had a magic feather and a clockwork orange.
In her world, the possession of these magical objects made her the It Girl and one of the Chosen Ones.

The hero of our story, Duke Hannibal fell hook line and sinker for Wendy at first sight and he couldn't look away.

Unbeknownst to both of them, the antagonist of our story Dracula, from the Other Family, secretly craved Wendy's magic feather and clockwork orange. He used some potions and pastries to hex the invaluable objects away.

Thankfully, the witches that don't burn from the No 1 Ladies Detective Agency, gave Wendy and Hannibal lessons in chemistry, so they could get the magical objects back.

The witches also declared that according to a prophecy, Hannibal is Wendy's Mr Perfect Dragon Warrior and that they both are the legal heirs to the Hawthorne Legacy, which lead to their well-deserved happy ever after.

Team Paris - Tragedy

Once upon a time there has been a King and Queen who loved each other to the end of the Earth and back. There love was shining brightly: if you could see the sun, you could imagine the strength of their feelings for each other.
However, on their wedding day the Three Fates, who who knew how to play the Family Game and thrived on reading people told them that their love was born in death and they have to beware the moon eclipse.

The wife's former, rejected lover, the Sidelined Psycho from the City of Bones could not get over the rejection and was plotting revenge.
He used Firestorm and laid their realm to Ruins.
Too late did the Queen see the lightning in her (magic) mirror or remember the last words the Psycho told her about how he would not let her be happy with another man.
The Psycho turned the Queen into a woman in black and took her prisoner, icebound in the sea of shadows.
The King went insane and kept looking for the lost light of his life in hidden places, constantly repeating: My Wife is missing.

Maybe the Three Fates will relent some time and let them reunite in the Afterlife.

In The Last House on Needless Street, Hamlet struggled to stay awake. He was Haunted by The Deepest of Secrets. His Criminal Past was coming back to him like a Bullet Train.

Four years ago he had been Alone In The Wild, a Bad Situation. He'd been walking and found himself One Foot in the Grave. As A Stranger in the nearby Town he was counted as Guilty by Association. He was Hooked with no thought to Reasonable Doubt.

The Memory Police used his Twisted Loyalties to show How Democracies Die. He would remember the Police Brutality in his interviews until the End of Days.

CivCEO was at A Carnival of Snackery. It was Midnight at the Electric when he heard CivCEO2 whisper Nothing to See Here. He jumped and tried to use his Rational Faculty.

Instead he saw CivCEO3 tell The Convenience Store Woman that The Best Thing was a Blood Promise. She said Hard Pass and gave the Glare to CivCEO4.

CivCEO was puzzled. What were the Transactional Dynamics between them. He had thought they were Strangers on Board but this seemed more like her Bad Ex-Boyfriend.

CivCEO's bafflement was compete when he saw CivCEO5 shouting Final Orders for Hidden Pictures and CivCEO appearing to buy them.

Iris and Ray

Iris was Mostly Harmless. She lived in the town of Pollyanna, and was true to its name. She liked skipping through town barefoot and singing to the donuts in the grocery store, but she was True of Heart, and really, isn’t that all that matters?

Ray was a King of Fools, and sometimes a Queen. They claimed they had been Around the World in Eighty Days on a skateboard, and they were the best friend of The Billionaire’s Familiar. They claimed they were the reason The Hundred Year Old Man Who Climbed out the Window and Disappeared, and it may have been true.

Rumors of Ray infiltrated the town like Starship Troopers. Iris immediately felt Monstrous Affections. Ray’s White Lies did not bother her. She was Eager to make their acquaintance.

Truely, it was Plum Spooky how Undeniable this pair was. Together, they were Gallant. They were perfection.

Everyone started to follow this pair around. They wanted to know how The Crush became such a thing. To Love a Naiad was to love Iris! But the followers could not match up. They were A Little Unsteady. They were no more than a Mummy’s Boy or Lost in Amber.

But no pair could compare! This wacky duo was perfect.

Jack Winter was a proud man. He had followed wealth like an explorer seeking True North. In the Silence in the Library, he Exposed himself to all of the literature and self help books that could get him on the road to riches.

He became a town developer, and squirreled his money away. He preferred people call him doctor however, just because Mr. wouldn’t do.

The only pleasure he took was walking the woods After Dark. Often these were the same woods he would soon develop. He would Hunt the Stars with a Fragile Longing for something more than the money he had.

During his holiday vacation, he traveled to the ocean, but There was Evil by the Sea. Looking at the local papers, he saw that there was A Death in Belmont. There was a Body found in the Garden in the next town over, and a Murder at the Mayfair Hotel. They had all been killed by an archer. It was called the Holiday of Death.

He chalked it up to misfortune. Nothing could harm him.

That night, he walked a trail that did not show up on any map. He heard a calling from deep in the forest. He walked forward, and saw The Girl in the Tower. She seemed trapped, like Rapunzel, but without the hair. He thought for a moment that he might be able to help. He might be The Protector. He could start The Story of a New Name, and become something besides what he was.

But he was to develop these woods. He would need to cut the trees down and destroy the tower.

The girl called out to him, asking for him to save her. She was trapped, maybe she would be the next victim of the local killer. He ignored her, and walked away.

Little did he know that this girl was Only a Monster. Some might say she was a Psycho. She looked for men who were too proud, and hunted them down. She was the murderer.

She followed him into the forest and killed him with The Arrow. Cradle to Grave, she could not abide a conceited man. She said a Prayer for the Dying, and then cursed his pride. He died alone in the woods. This was the story of The Vanishing of Dr. Winter.

A romantic comedy by Hector, Tamer of Horses.

On a recent trip to Inverness, I found a lovely little café named “Palmer’s pastries”, and I sat myself down to enjoy a piece of Coconut cake and a Cafe Con Lychee. No sooner had I tucked into the cake, than a handsome man in a kilt sat down beside me. He was the owner’s brother, and lived above the café. We talked, and before I knew it, I’d agreed to dinner at his house that evening.
When evening came, I found myself regarding the doorbell with some trepidation. Should I Surrender to the Highlander? Sure, he could be Boyfriend Material, but he could equally be a Psycho or a Mafia Prince, and I didn’t want to find myself being Hunted in some twisted Highlands version of the Hunger Games. I would be totally Pucked!
Finally I decided to Catch a Tiger by the Tail and listen to The Highlander's Promise, and I rang the doorbell.
“I hope you like Vietnamese,” he said, as he opened the door. I replied it wouldn’t take much Persuasion for me to try it, and in no time I was being Spoon-Fed a delicious dish called Pho.
“I had some wine, but I don’t know where I left it,” he said, and I pondered his Gifts of Imperfection as he tore his place apart looking for The Lost Vintage.
Giving up on the wine, we moved on to dessert. The door opened and Rosaline Palmer Takes the Cake through. Our eyes met, The Pillars of the Earth shook, and I suddenly realised I was with The Wrong Highlander!
So I said goodbye to my host, and walked off into the sunset (ok, maybe just the adjoining room) with My Unexpected love, where we lived happily for the rest of my trip.

Stubborn Boys
A tragic love story by Hector, Breaker of Horses

Until His Last Goodbye, I thought that Ransom was my Ticket to Oblivion. I was no longer afraid. He had A Kiss to Revive Me, to pull me out of my own Shadow's Claim and I swore to myself that The Dark Tide of my Origin would never again turn me into a Watcher in the Shadows but I would step into the light and revel in this beautiful Rae of Hope. I would be part of the fun for a change.

All my Good Intentions were Gone But Not (entirely) Forgotten as I made a Savage Vow that I would I would no longer be Sneaking Around With a heavy and Dark heart. Ransom was ruthless in his pursuit of fun, and he promised me that The Shackles That Hold Us, or rather me, would no longer be, that we could turn into Something Wilder and that I would enjoy the ride.

At the Darkest Hour Before Dawn of what I thought was going to be the best night of my life, I realised that this particular story of my life was not called Stubborn Boys - us against the world and in defiance of everything and everyone - as I had hoped, but total Waste of Handsome.

"I should not have believed him about joyrides being fun", I thought as I stood with my head inside a bin, puking my guts out. Ransom was long gone.

"Last night, I decided to take a walk downtown to see The Fountains of Silence. The water was dancing to the shimmering lights like The Radium Girls.
Much to my despair I was taken out of The Quiet Zone when I heard a ruckus coming from the movie theatre. Turning the corner I ran straight into Caprice and knocked her flat on her badorkas. ""OUCH!!! What in the blue blazes are you doing?"", she screamed. ""Oh my stars,"" I exclaimed. ""I'm just trying to see what all the commotion is about."" ""It's just Alice and the Mere Mortals having a jam session on Main Street,"" she replied. ""Why do old nosy fuddy duddies, like you, enjoy ruining The Most Fun We Ever Had. "" Excuse me young lady but you're The One that needs an attitude adjustment. Being Witch Slapped may be the dose of medicine you need,"" I replied. ""HMPH! It would be a cold day in,well, you know. Therefore, I'll just say welcome to Our Little World you old hag. Remember, Livvie Owen Lived Here and she'll be back to haunt you,""she snickered.
What? Why is this ungrateful brat bringing up my horrifying past? I really wanted to giver her a piece of my mind but decided It Sounded Better in My Head I couldn't risk giving her the pleasure of digging out The Skeleton in the Closet and telling the whole world that I Kissed Shara Wheeler. What an embarrassment that would be. Shedding The Light in Hidden Places would definitely be the death of me. I would be forced to give my Last Wool and Testament.

I picked up The Screwtape Letters that I was carrying and started walking away while humming The Ballad of Frankie Silver. Upon reflection of this incidence, I realized that these young teeny boppers carry a lot jealousy that they aren't official members of the ""blue haired gang"" aka the Golden Boys. But it's all good. I just need to let her learn the lesson that life doesn't Stay Gold,"

If it weren't for that Dumb Witness Allegedly seeing Agatha in the act, the detectives wouldn't be so Ruthless with their questions. It's Unforgivable Agatha was so sloppy. Being so close to Christmas, Agatha will blame her sloppiness on being in a In a Holidaze. According to detective Billy Summers Agatha has a reputation of having The Courage to Be Disliked. In all honesty, that's a good thing because she's blowing Blue Smoke to cover up her foul intentions. Agatha claims she was in the ballroom dancing to Midnight Bayou while the murders were taking place. Liar liar Chasing Fire ! Why would anyone be dancing to that Tadpole Treble song from a game. Penelope's Tribute to Melpomene - A Boardwalk Bookshop Tragedy

The Snow Killer was a bad apple, born under the wrong stars to a dirty mother. They had found the Ace of Spades in the Boardwalk Bookstore, and taken it as a sign for them to go on another hard and fast killing spree - having been oxygen deprived at birth, it didn't take much to set the red rising and to reach flash point - no controlled burn for this maniac. Whilst running wild on their fatal voyage, from New York to Dallas, via the stopping places in the greenwood, they came to 16 Lighthouse Road, where they took their weapon - a rusty nail - and killed the widows of Malabar Hill, cackling as another one bites the dust.

Penelope's Tribute to Thalia - A Boardwalk Bookshop Comedy

The sign over the Boardwalk Bookshop said "Home of the Five Little Pigs. This puzzled me, as I thought I was in Galapagos. I went into the shop, seeking answers, but finding instead two kinds of truth: first, the art of racing in the rain and second, not to fear the beard.

The first is not interesting, being a book about Honor's knightly adventures, written by herself; the second I learnt in conversation:
"Welcome to Harmony!" announced the man, possessor of flowing facial hair - my weakness - when I walked in.
"Kiss my putt!" I responded, completely entranced. Suddenly realising what I'd said, I tried to rectify the situation: "Argh, no! I mean, I'm only here for the beard" I blurted, being hypnotised into idiocy by his luxuriant locks. When my brain goes into beard mode, and to be fair, beards are always on my mind, that's when it falls apart - the connection between brain and mouth, I mean, and any old guff spills out.
The beautiful beardy man looked at me puzzled, as well he might.
"Sorry, the beard made me do it!" I tried to explain, digging a deeper hole, "They are like catnip to me! So, errr.... I'll just be going"
He stopped me from retreating, his beard up, waving softly and invitingly in the air-con. "Kiss me, I'm Irish" he commanded. Entranced by the follicular action, I agreed.
Later, before I go to sleep, I sigh to myself so this is love.
Honestly, I'm a fool for the love of a beard!

It started simply, a nice invitation to meet my cousin Emma’s new groom. I had Grave Reservations about the lack of previous knowledge about a fiancé, but Emma had never lived down the Up the Down Staircase joke, so I decided to give her a break on her wedding. Anyway, I couldn’t talk, as I had the whole The Lost Girl in Paris incident that had made international news. I would like to say that the evidence was only hearsay, some so-called The Last Confessions of Sylvia P., and I was never charged. So, we are a mostly A Nearly Normal Family, and I looked forward to meeting whoever was deemed as good Husband Material for my dear cousin Emma.

Upon arriving at the family farm, Emma told as that she had met him on her last job, which she called, “The Emma Project,” which the rest of us called, “An Affair to Dismember.” Emma was always The Winner in the family business. As she said, “Here Comes My Man,” we turned and looked, I relaxed as he would fit in fine with the family business. Emma’s man was a Mafia Prince. We shook hands all around and took the party outside to The Bone Orchard. He turned and offered a hand to Emma and said, Dance With Me. As they danced under the bleached skulls, I knew Emma had found true love. She was always one of many Book Lovers in the family and used to read books titled, “To Marry a Scottish Laird” alongside her work readings like “An Easy Death.” They had even made lists titled, “Ten Things I Love About You” that included such items that started if One of Us Is Dead. Their marriage will be quite an Escapade and I look forward to the holidays and whoever we decide will be Dying For Christmas.

Come, let me tell you a story of Accidental Gods: On Men Unwittingly Turned Divine, a story about how A Quest of Heroes turned to bones and Bitter Blood. They say there is a book, the Doomsday Book and a path to the Rise of Empire and power untold. Ah, you know this part then, I see you claim I lie. You sought this book and found it, venturing Into the Mist and other heroic deeds of the bards’ invention. The Secret History tells a different story than what you Claimed. At Eventide, The Devil and the Dark Water were waiting for you. The Provenance of your power by The Luminous Dead. All the Secrets of the World and the power in your hands for the taking for a simple command, Kill the Queen. They Came From The Ocean, and as The Spear Cuts Through Water, they overwhelmed those on shore. A dead queen I may be but not powerless. For now, now is the Hour of the Witch. Call and Wake the Bones, Call and bid the dead to rise from Hallowed ground and The Host of those who died by your army’s hands. Come, can’t you hear the pounding of their steps.

Twas TWILIGHT when Susie, THE BOOK WOMAN'S DAUGHTER saw THE GOOD GIRLS playing THE LYING GAME.
I CAN'T LOOK AWAY, said she. GAME ON, said they.
There were THREE SIMPLE RULES to the game
1) Practice causing DAMAGE
2) CRAVE the win
3) GET IN TROUBLE

Beatrice giggled "ALLEGEDLY, I AM NOT A SERIAL KILLER."
Betty tittered "I can turn BLOOD TO POISON."
Brenda gloated "I can make a man's temperature rise to DESERT HEAT levels with one kiss."

"What, did you all get an UPGRADE?" snarked Susie.

"Know what time it is, Bee Ladies?" asked Beatrice.

"Wait, you call yourselves Bee Ladies?" sniggered Susie.

"Brenda, call up the winds, Betty, prepare the poison. It is A TIME TO KILL!" THE FIERY CROSS awaits, we will have her TRAPPED!"

"I'm out of here" said Susie. "This is turning into WORLD WAR C. I mean Bee. Well, maybe the C word is more apt.
Someone GO TELL THE BEES I AM GONE.”

It was a DEATH OVERDUE. ENGLEBY was in a TERMINATION SHOCK over THE 18TH ABDUCTION. The one that marked THE END OF TEMPERANCE DARE, THE QUIET WOMAN.
Engleby's and Temperance's lives had been INTERTWINED.
BOOK LOVERS both, Temperance had just left to return THE LIBRARY BOOK, THEN SHE WAS GONE.

Engleby walked in a daze through the town, by THE SHOP ON BLOSSOM STREET, by a couple having a ROADSIDE PICNIC, and on and on until he saw AT THE EDGE OF THE ORCHARD, TWO DEAD LOVE BIRDS.
His love was one of THE MISSING. He didn't TRUST himself to go on without her. None of the abducted had come home alive. He pictured Temperance's last moments as DEATH WITH INTERRUPTIONS. It was the interruptions that were making him crazy. He couldn't stop picturing what she had gone through. He heard her in his head screaming NEVER LET ME GO.

His own ANNIHILATION was near. It wouldn't be the abductor SURFACING and taking him, it would be his own sorrow that did him in.

This story is about the mystery of Mrs Christie who used to live alone, though she once was happy with three children. But her daughters did everything that good girls don't and the bitter discord among the reckless girls turned her life into a misery. She reached the point of surrender when the favorite daughter dissappeared. Then one cold day Mrs. Christie too went missing. Everyone knew her happy days to be a long time gone but nobody expected her to suddenly vanish from the town. The police searched her for days and the captain's fury at their faliure to find any trace of her was clearly evident. Days later one evening they noticed a photo of the mother and daughter happily cooking and playing with fire beside the nearby lake in the shadow box of her drawing room and a note stuck under it with the red pyramid shaped magnet saying, 'You are always on my mind. If I can't live with you, I will die for you'. They realized that Mrs Christie lived with a head full of ghosts and the retreat she desparately looked for was in the city of the dead. The police rushed to the lake and after a evening's search they managed to bring up the bodies, of both Mrs Christie and her favorite daughter. Meet Bridget Jones and Dakota Dawn, two stepsisters who are Book Lovers! Bridget's dad, known affectionately throughout the neighborhood as the Single Dad Next Door, started dating The It Girl, Dakota's mom. Everything in their lives was "normal" until a stranger appeared in their lives.

Matilda began working as their housekeeper about a year after their parent's marriage, or as Dakota liked to gossip, "Faking It as the Maid", since she always did a terrible job. One afternoon, Bridget noticed Matilda polishing a strange-looking lamp. Once Matilda finished cleaning, Bridget noticed a still very noticeable smudge on the lamp and picked it up and wiped it off. This was enough to engage The Magic of the Lamp and soon a giant phoenix appeared, hovering in midair.

"Hey there, Daughter of the Moon Goddess, the name is Klutz: Phoenix Heat, and I'm here to grant 3 wishes! Tell me all your Pretty Secrets!" the phoenix roared, then promptly tumbled to the ground, no longer floating.

Stunned, Bridget blurted out the only thing that came to mind. She'd been reading a book about werewolves earlier that day called Wolf Pact and decided she'd love to be a werewolf.

"Granted! Until Next Time!" Klutz yelled and disappeared in a wave of water and soaked Bridget instantly.

"What the heck!?" she thought. Confused, and not at all hairy (though strangely smelling of wet dog), Bridget retreated to her room to write about the odd experience in her diary.

Later that day, Dakota felt sneaky and picked up Bridget Jones's Diary and was astonished to read about her stepsister's experience. Hurt that she didn't tell her about it right away, she decided to get Her Revenge! She ran off to find the lamp, rubbed it, and just as before, out popped a giant phoenix.

"Oy! I'm Klutz: Phoenix Secrets, and I'm here to grant 3 wishes!" Klutz attempted to face Dakota but kept spinning as if in a tiny tornado.

Confused, but determined, Dakota said, "Hello Klutz! I'd like to be a Princess!"

"Wish Granted!" Klutz roared and he tumbled in midair.

Suddenly, Dakota found herself trapped in A Court of Wings & Ruin, Guarded by the Soldier of ReDawn. But it wasn't all bad since the inhabitants, frightened by her sudden appearance, instantly worshipped her as a Goddess.

Hours passed and Bridget realized that her sister was missing and decided to ask the phoenix to show her where she was.

After rubbing the lamp, Klutz appeared and yelled, "Oh! Not You Again!"

"Where is my sister?" Bridget demanded.

"Oh, in the Court of Wings and Ruin near The Phantom Tollbooth, probably destroying Her Villians and doing princessy things," Klutz replied, as though it made perfect sense.

"Well, bring her back!" she yelled. "She's not supposed to be a princess!"

"Well, you're not supposed to be a werewolf either, but here we are. If you want me to bring her back, I will have to undo all the magic and no one will be ANYTHING interesting!"

Bridget mulled this over and decided that maybe being a werewolf wasn't the best idea she'd ever had and demanded that Klutz bring her stepsister back.

"Ok, fine, but that's final! Don't bother me again!" Klutz said, wobbling in the air yet again and finally tumbling back into the lamp.

Dakota appeared and Bridget explained what she'd done to get her back. Dakota was a bit annoyed, but was honestly happy to be back.

In a world Lost in Time lived a beautiful, but Shattered Princess by the name of Clarissa. Her mother and her sisters, known as the infamous Pretty Dead Queens created a spell called The Virus of Beauty. The Ruthless Queens did not like that Clarissa had such beauty, and sought to destroy it so that she would never find a Prince and take away their throne. The Queens lured Clarissa through The Path of Thorns to The Phantom Tree by the River of Shadows where she noticed Something in the Water, a beautiful rose. Curious, she reached for it and immediately began to transform. "I Must Betray You" the Queen yelled, “for you are too beautiful to exist!” Clarissa managed a last plea, “Please, don’t Break Me!” before she was frozen in stone, sealed with The Magic of Eternity.

The village the Queens ruled over mourned the loss of their beautiful, Missing Clarissa, but no one dared accuse the Queens, though they knew they were Traitors.

Many years passed and ivy grew over the statue of Clarissa and the stone crumbled, until she began to disappear, The Vanishing Half of her face hiding her expression of hopeful, but Fractured Freedom.

One day a handsome Prince came and saw the statue of the Princess. He was so moved by her sad beauty that he asked in the village about the statue. The villagers, fearing the Queens’ wrath, lied and said it was just an old statue with no significance. But the Prince knew the truth, having heard the stories and rumors of the past. The Prince, angry that the villagers had lied, transformed into his real form, a Dreadgod and that's when The Violence began. First, earthquakes shook the ground, and then a fire engulfed the village, slowly spreading to the statue, Igniting Ivy and exposing the crumbling statue. The villagers, fearing their stone Princess would be destroyed began to cry out, "We Were Liars!! Please, don't destroy our beloved Princess Clarissa!" But it did no good and soon the statue was only dust.
