We will be reading The Maze starting September 1.

I am getting back into my reading and I am ready to pick a new date for this one?
What are things looking like for you?

I am home and I am open to any day trying to finish Jodi Picoult book after this one I am open to reading next.

FYI Treatment went well I went to PA for an eating disorder treatment program. I am doing so much better and ready to get back to reading again. I did not have as much time as I thought I would while I was in treatment to read only at night before I fell asleep so now I feel a little bit behind.

I'm happy to hear it went well for you, thereadingbell. I know those places and treatment can be tough but also so important. Good luck in your recovery and I hope you can jump into some good books now. :)

Thank you for your kind words. I am in a much better place then I was before I went I think I can beat it but time will tell. Most importantly I am eating and doing it on a schedule.

I am reading Mad Honey as well right now and then will be ready to start The Maze.

We are already so behind on this one.
Would it be ok with you to just set a date in the future?
Say Dec. 1
That way it would be done before the new year and I could get caught up all around?
Or if you have already read it, we could just take it off the schedule, because I don't think anyone else has it.
Let me know what it best for you.

I really like John Corey as a character. He is so fun and funny. I have loved every book in the series.

I have not read them all but I did read plum island

(view spoiler)[ So far everything seems sort of slow at the start. John is back at his uncle's house. Max gets John to interview and take a PI job at Security Solutions. He is also reunited with Beth his old flame from Plum Island story. Anyways John decides to take the job as a consultant only for the summer. Something is up John is wondering why Beth and Max are pushing him so hard to take the PI Job. Security Solutions does not look like a respectable PI agency. (hide spoiler)]

Ok, I started this one too and I am at about 25%.
There is something about John Corey that just makes me smile. Of course he is so inappropriate, but his inner dialogue just cracks me up!!!
And how he can be so the way he is and still get all the ladies is just a crack up.
I agree, the beginning was more like a review of his life (the past 7 books), but now things are starting to happen.
I am wondering (view spoiler)[ is Beth with or against him? Is she really back into him or is she with him for a bigger purpose.
The whole scene about "engagement" was such a good one.
Demille has really done a good job staying true to John Corey instead of making him political correct in the times we live in, don't you think? (hide spoiler)]
