Fav Standalone: Having a hard time thinking of a standalone fantasy book that I've read! The only one I can think of that I've read recently is House of Hollow by Krystal Sutherland. Went into it blind, was different than what I normally read, but it did not disappoint - so "fav" by default. Non fantasy favorite standalones are Dreamland by Sarah Dessen and The Other Side of Midnight by Sidney Sheldon (some of the very few non fantasy books I have read).
