Are there any books you didn't want to read anymore because a plot twist or the ending got spoiled for you?

Sort of. There are books which I have on my shelf but will probably not get around to reading because I've seen the tv show or film. Off the top of my head, Alias Grace, Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell and Silver Linings Playbook.

Nothing was spoiled for me personally, but I observed with horror as my readers' advisory teacher in library school blithely gave away the twist from Ender's Game to a whole class full of students.

I accidentally seen a spoiler for Defy The Night but I kept reading it and it still played out amazingly

I put off reading Mockingjay, Allegiant, and The Death Cure for the longest time because people spoiled the major deaths for me

@Amelia Is it because of specific spoilers or because you already know the whole story?

@Shawna Finnigan When you read these books, did the spoilers deminish your reading experience?

Most of the story, I guess. There are more stories out there than I'll get through in my lifetime. It seems a shame to rehash any that aren't favourites.

Crooked kingdom but i eventually read it

I got spoiled for Crooked Kingdom but I still read it and loved it, but I got spoiled for the Hawthorne Legacy and The Final Gambit so I don't think there's any points in reading those two for me

I have decided not to read books when I found out they were written in present tense or had a love triangle. But I can't think of any specific spoilers.

I never read the last book of the Divergent series Allegiant, because the ending was spoiled for me.

One of Us is Lying. One of my friends finished watching the TV series and told me how it ended. Lost interest after that was spoiled.

I know spoilers but it never stopped me from reading the book

The crooked kingdom, The Selection, Divergent sequels, and The summer I turned pretty sequels.

The pjo series... One of my friends is really obsessed with it.. And has spoiled everything in it for me... Now i can't read it anymore... I've just read the first one.. I don't want to continue now..
