Saw there is a second book to this series out. Disappointed in the title of it - thought it should be something like "My Liver Is a Wrench".

Sorry... I'll show myself out. ;p

Rob | 8 comments Own it, it's been in the TBR pile for a while, but I hate reading more than one book at a time, so I'll have to speed-read what I'm on now to get it done by September! Oh, the pressure!!

Yeah!

Most of my suggestions don't even make the polls! LOL

Theresa (mysteries.and.mayhem) (mysteriesandmayhem) | 359 comments I had to start reading it - for two reasons. One, all the comments here already about how good this book is. And two, because someone's waiting to read this after me at the library so I can't renew it. 😪 Of course, I could break down and spend real money on it and buy it if I end up liking it as much as it looks like I will after the first chapter!

message 37: by Tonya (new)

Tonya Mathis | 32 comments It is good, I just finished it. And I understand, I have to return mine to the library too.

Yep! I just finished up today as well and the book's going back to the library. Sigh.

I really enjoyed it and look forward to the discussion! :-)

anyway, just the beginning, and all of Jade's blabbering is already starting to bore me bad

That blabbering is part of Jade's character. I can see how some might not appreciate her obsession and ramblings. I loved her, maybe because there's a little bit of me that relates to her. However, not everybody has to like her, and if you're not getting used to her mannerisms, there may not be much to keep you engaged with the book. It does build suspense and tension but it's a slow progression until the latter part of the book. Don't feel bad if you decide to stick on the DNF shelf.
