Bonus Prompts:
-Book is set at school
-School supplies on the cover
-MC is a teacher
-Specific school subject mentioned in the text, provide pg/% and quote (examples include math, language, creative writing, chemistry, biology, engineering etc)
-Book title or series name has a double O in it

Just to be clear I started a book yesterday and have been reading that today, it wouldn't qualify since I started it before the 24th, is that correct?
Also can it be the 2nd word (first letter) of the title or last name of the author (first letter) sorry just wanted to make sure I understand :)
Like Where Good Girls Go To Die I was going to start that. Would the D in Die count?

the 24th Midnight has already started, right? or do we mean midnight that is coming? I know, stupid question. :)
AND
Are we only counting what we finish? Or do pages count as well?

Any book you finish between today and the 31st can count!
Yes it can be the first letter of any word in title, author or series. So for the book you mentioned from the title you could use W, G, T, or D!

And for now it's only books that are finished for the readathon, but you can have already started them before today.

August is the beginning of the school year for many people in the US and across the world. We’ll be hosting a “Back to School” read-a-thon to celebrate. This will start today (August 24th starting at your midnight time zone) and will end on August 31st (ending at your midnight time zone). This will be a team spell out challenge with five bonus prompts! We will be spelling out DARK ACADEMIA using titles, author names or series name of the books you read. The catch is that you can only use the first letter of the words. I’ll be keeping track of how many times the letters are used.
We also have five bonus prompts listed below. If you submit a book for a bonus prompt it CANNOT be submitted for a letter.
What you need to do in order to participate:
Step 1 - Sign up on this thread!
Step 2 - Post your progress each day!
Step 3 - Have fun and read lots of good books!
How to post:
Every time you FINISH a book, you will need to make a completion post like so:
Completion Post
Letter: R from Rin
Anyone is welcome to join!
