Hello team!
Your spreadsheets, Round 1 tab, have been updated with your first three characters: Thumper, Flora, Fauna & Merryweather, & Magic Mirror! Please remember that the challenge begins on 9/1 and that you only need to finish 4 tasks (out of the 8) before getting a new character.
This is also posted on your team's review thread as well!

Can we decide on a preference for "claiming" tasks? Is it a free-for-all? Should we have a process? Thoughts!

However if we wanted to strategize some people to do list tasks that wouldn't be a bad idea.
Are we claiming on the spreadsheet, or is that for finished recording only? I didn't see a place there to record a Read date, so I didn't know if that was the best place for "claiming" or not.
I think it would be good if we update the spreadsheet when we start reading the book so that we always have an idea of what tasks are being read for and what needs attention!
Also, then we can just tick mark the "completed" and "reviewed" columns once we are done!
Just know I will probably be moving things around for speed and getting all the prompts full!

For the "in-text" words. Can it be a variation of the tense?ie...
Thumped for "THUMP"
Camo for "CAMOUFLAGE"
Overconfidence for "OVERCONFIDENT"
I want to start a book, but NOT if Thumped won't be accepted. lol
I think Alaina allows past tenses but I am not 100% sure...

Yes for thumped and overconfidence, but no to camo
I'm also assuming we can read and bank books (considering the Banked tab on the spreadsheet)... like if we randomly find a task in a book that we don't have YET....

Please put any book you can't find a task for in the banked or in the chat so I can find a spot for it eventually.
We'll mostly use the banked tab if we get close to finishing round 1 and are waiting until we get to round 2.
Hi Kade! Team, I currently have 2 prompts claimed in the spreadsheet that I plan to complete in the next 24 hours but if anyone finishes a book for those before me, feel free to replace!
I should be on later tonight to look at things and post my book.
I have a few finished books. I’m going to see where I can fit them tomorrow. 💜
I used
for tagged medieval but it also works for MC has hazel eyes (FMC Katy) so we can switch it if required

I was reading one for wand on cover but I had to dnf it sadly :( Found one for Enchanting in text instead!
Also, I once again have 2 prompts claimed for tomorrow!
for mirror in title would get us 10 bonus points as well so pretty excited for that!
woo! I swear I'll finish my book this weekend. holiday weekend work stuff has me reading slow!
No worries Ashley! We have so many prompts since the challenge has just started so we can find a slot for yours in no time :)
hey ya'll.. i have books that are finished that can fit into some prompts for some of the characters where some books aren't finished yet. do you want me to try to fill the prompts to close out the character and get new ones or bank them?
normally I'm fine with moving my books around. the one I'm currently reading is on the SS, and I haven't found a good alternative, so if you can hold off on moving mine this time around in case I can't find an alternate... that'd be super, cuz I don't want to read this book in vain lol!
