I would say aim for the gargoyle one I think that's the hardest. We can see if anyone else has ones that would work for the other lists in the next couple days!

No set time limit yet besides end of the month. Most likely we'll finish the list tasks in the second round but I wanted to be proactive in planning them.

Update my previous comment to have all the lists and the books that have been read and/or posted!

Absolutely! It’s a short read so I’ll start it in the next few days. I’m open to taking on the others if no one finds anything they want to read as well. Whatever works for everyone. :)

Going to move Tesseract's book to another spot since Kade's book for Chip is marked completed and we only need one more book for that category.

Moved to Victor, Hugo & Laverne for Features a goat. Searched the book on amazon and there were two places where goat shows up!

Will Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister work as a retelling of Cinderella? Or for a Sidekick (Anastasia & Drizella)? Has anyone read it to know for sure? I can't decide from the synopsis.

i'm going to be reading book 3 in the "never king" series soon. it looks like we can use it for the retelling bonus option, but i had a question about the sidekick aspect. It's a peter pan retelling, a few of the characters are meant to be the "lost boys". would that count as sidekicks if i just choose one of those characters? the books are also told from multiple POVs so technically two of the lost boys are also main characters with pan, so that counts for more points, right?

It's the POV of the ugly stepsister so yes MC is basically Anastasia/Druzilla

If the lost boys have a POV I'd count that as a MC!

hey yall, - just an update.. im almost done with my gargoyle book, but my oldest had a mental health emergecy today, and i'm honestly in a pretty ... rough spot mentally right now from the stress., so i likely will take an additional day to finish it. ill hopefully have it done tomorrow night.

Hey y'all we are getting close to repeating the characters for the second time. If you claimed a list task, it would be great to start it sometime this week if you can. we also have 4 skips we can use and should plan which ones to use them on.

These are the ones we should narrow down the skips for:
-Heihei
-Meeko
-Pain & Panic
-Timon & Pumba
-Flounder (mostly bc of underwater list)
-Anastasia & Drizella
-Pascal

I'll look through my list once I'm home from work and let you know what I can read from what's left, or rather what I have books for. I won't necessarily need to read all, but maybe that will help us figure out what we should/could use a skip for?

Yes that will be perfect. Most of the ones I'm thinking of skipping are about series letters.

okay going to narrow down to these to be skipped:

Pascal - because of CHAMELEON in series
Timon & Pumba - MEERKAT in series and the Hakuna/Makata title
Heihei - Set in The South Pacific Islands

Maybe Anastasia & Drizella for the fourth bc of the UGLY in series?

Meeko my big concern was FLIT in series, but I moved my book to it. Flounder either I or Ashley can read the underwater list. Pain & Panic we should be good since Ashley has horns and either Ashley or Cynthia can do the paranoia list.

I'm not positive on eye color. I don't honestly remember that being discussed, but I could do a search. I am fine leaving it on Pascal for later though if need be, since I looked for camouflage in like every ebook I own and this one was it lol. It might be worth banking it!

Ok, I just noticed (now that I've had some coffee) that you're trying to skip Pascal. Let me do some digging in the text and see what I can find for the Mummy book!
