Rowan :) | 1 comments Hiii!
I'm Rowan, I've started writing for my own enjoyment about 4 years ago, and I love writing fantasy. I've been working on my own little "series(?)" I guess you could call it, since then. I got two books in, didn't like it, so scratched the whole thing and started over.... but I'm really liking where I'm going with my new story, and I'm so happy to be in this group!

I'm happy your book is going in a new direction- sometimes you just need to look at it in a new angel

Stacey (staceyrme) | 4 comments Hello. I am Stacey in Alaska. I am trying to be an author but have been told I am an anomaly because I guess I’m going about it differently than most, or so I am told.

I am trying to write either a middle grade or YA book, but writing is hard for me due to some issues I’m trying to work through.

:)

Oh, that's unfair but let me tell you your writing is your own and no one can tell you how to write. There is no right or wrong way- you do you and we are here to help!
If you need anything, let us know!

Dreamer | 16 comments Hi! I am Dreamer (that's not my real name obviously but I like using it). I love writing, reading and sketching. Oh, and listening to music! Let's not forget that :)

I'm currently writing many things. I can never concentrate on one project only, which kinda keeps me behind. I'm not sure what genre my writing is. It's more like literary fiction. I don't quite mention the era, or write descriptions. I like developing more the writing style and the characters, than making a thrilling plot (although that might be kinda negative too). Actually, I just like turning my questions and concerns into stories.

Welcome Dreamer! (Great name)
Oo that's cool! Some people work best when they alternate between different things and I'm sure there's some science at play at he benefits because it also strengthens the brain.
There is no right or wrong way to write, so you do you! X

Thank you! My music taste is quite controversial, actually XD My current favorite songs are What if? by Teho Taerdo, Hating the Player Hating the Game by Matt Elliott, The Weeping Song by Nick cave and the Bad Seeds and a few others that are not in English, so there's not much point in mentioning them since most people won't understand the lyrics :) What are your favorite songs or artists?

I know, right? How can people actually finish a project before starting a new one? It sounds like a superpower to me XD

Thank you!

Yeah, probably writing many things at once is some kind if a multitasking thing, but the problem is I rarely finish anything XD Like, right now I have at least 8 unfinished projects (or 9, not sure) but only 2 finished..

I'm...a wheelchair user (my name is a secret for funsies). I've been writing for a few years. Mostly essays critiquing mainstream activism and some poems. I also write fiction but I've yet to finish any of my stories yet.
Random facts about me? I'm a classically trained painist and my earliest memory reading memory is of a tornado from a book my teacher gave me.

Kymela (kymelatejasi) | 22 comments Hello. I'm Kymela. I've been writing off and on for around 12 years, pretty mush just all the ideas, notes, and scenes that come to mind, but rarely anything very long and finished. I write mostly in fantasy, though I do have a could of other random ones. I can never focus on just one and have several going.

I also have several hobbies besides writing, such as reading, learning medicine, music, learning new languages, making jewellery, painting, woodworking, gardening, and others. I also have a YouTube channel that's focused on gaming and fighting an irrational fear.

Japanese, Icelandic, Korean, Inuuinaqtunn, Gaelic, Filipino...and those are just the ones I'm focused on. I'm also working on a few languages to add to my stories.

NICE! I haven't heard of Inuuinaqtunn
What do you use?
I used duolingo for most of my languages - currently learning, japanese, hindi, malyalm and (later) sanskrit

Innuinaqtunn is an Inuit language spoken in a western part of Canada. I think it's also northern.

I use what I can find for each language, but I actually despise Duolingo. It's often wrong, doesn't use good translations or common topics (an issue I have with most college textbooks, too), and isn't challenging enough. Also, Duolingo, Pimsleur, and Rosetta Stone are all far too repetitive for me.

how do manage so many languages at the same time? that is impressive btw

I listen to a lot of different things, mostly from Indie artists. Some of my favourites are Natewantstobattle, Icon For Hire, Leaves' Eyes, and Blackmore's Night.

Oh, thank you...I'll remove it from here and DM it to anyone if it's not okay to share it here.

Greetings, everyone. I'm Emma :)

I'm a college student currently pursuing a degree in Creative Writing. I've loved to write ever since I was little, and I'm now pursuing that as a career. I love to write short stories, postcard fiction, and novellas! I mainly write mystery stories, and one of my most recent stories I wrote was a 20,000 word murder mystery novella (for school). I'm glad to be here!
