erin ♡ Since it is more safer to not say things that are related to the story, I am kind of confused how I would solve my worldbuilding because I have zero clue whether it makes sense or not? 💀

It depends on the degree- if you have no idea- we can help you out collectively in your nook- as there is no saying if you'll use it or not and it will all be general ideas and tips but if it's more in depth, privately message people you trust (me- if you are comfortable lol)

Drea Scott | 19 comments My book is formatted and ready for publishing. Can someone describe the ARC setup process? Is this done through Amazon? I have no idea, so the more details, the better!

As far as how to send out the copies. Is it a PDF format or actual Amazon Kindle?

message 10: by DoveyV (new)

DoveyV | 311 comments I was planning on using a signup form through Google Forms and the person can fill in an email address and anything else you need. Once the form is created you can post a link anywhere for people to sign up so you can collect their emails to send the link to the ARC to. As for where you’re keeping the book I think that depends on if you’re going through KDP or not, I’m not sure how KDP works but they might have a specific way to transfer free ebooks to ARC readers. There are plenty of sights that allow you to upload your novel for beta and arc readers though, you can probably google a list of sights.
Hope that helps :)

DoveyV | 311 comments Oh! missed part of the question, whoops.
I’ve gotten ARCs in PDF format before as well as in a legit ebook format so either one would work.

message 15: by Drea (new)

Drea Scott | 19 comments Okay, sorry for the spam. What information should I gather from my ARC readers on the form ?

message 16: by DoveyV (new)

DoveyV | 311 comments it really depends on what you want to hear but I think the most important thing other than the email would be to make sure they know the deadline and agree to having their review up by that deadline. also a lot of authors make sure the reader agrees to not let any spoilers out before the realize date.

message 17: by DoveyV (new)

DoveyV | 311 comments also if you’re picking a specific amount of arcs and not just anyone who signs up then asking their normal genres and review length and detail would be a good idea to make sure that you get a quality review from the reader in exchange for the arc.

message 18: by Ruqayyah (new)

Ruqayyah | 951 comments You are not spamming! I would add Trigger Warnings and Content Details too

Drea Scott | 19 comments Okay! I listed the book blurb and link below. It’s a romance novel, so hopefully this helps to know where to post this on this platform.

Book Blurb:

Aria Tate’s life didn’t wait for the perfect moment, and it didn’t wait for her to be prepared. Just like any tragedy, hers came unsuspected and unwelcomed.

As bright dreams are buried beneath the soil and laid to rest, Aria struggles to escape the dark shadow that casts over her entire world. Each day is a reminder of her shattered soul, and facing reality is now a dreadful burden.

Time becomes a bittersweet friend. The bitterness lies in the truth she knows. The sweetness lies in the random moments that shine her glimmers of hope. Eventually, a new and unexpected friendship starts to blossom, and the broken pieces of Aria’s heart start to glue back together.

But what happens when the person you should’ve kept at arm’s length, becomes the very person who’s rebuilding your heart?

Now, mark yourself as an author on GR and add your book, I think this video will help show you, as opposed to me saying it lol

Drea Scott | 19 comments Hello! I'd like to post a sample of my book (i.e. only the prologue and the first chapter). The goal would be to engage readers and gain interest before my release date on Aug 15th. How should I go about this on this platform, if possible? Or any other platforms for that matter. Any advice/tips would be greatly appreciated! :)

Hello!
Ways to do that:
Have a website and newsletter, so you can link that on your profile and we can put it here for you and people can be directed to do that.
Or link a Google Document with Viewing settings and we'll put a poll out for you, so others can see it.
Or you could make another Google Form and can send to first chapter out that way.
You can link all these in your author profile and we will spread the word too!

Type the same into Google and check images, there will be one with the text, I would write it here but GR formats the text to disappear and the Google image is better
