The Academy For Mythical Creatures discussion

“Yeah, me too,” Alex muttered. She awkwardly stared at her kitsune.

“Here,” Alex picks up her kitsune, and smiles at them. She hastily tries to wipe the smile off her face. “Her name is Aiko.”

Alex stared at them excitedly. “So do I! Oops,” she said, when the teacher glared at them.

“Yeah,” Alex smiled at them. What am I doing, Alex thought. I’ve never been this.. friendly to someone before.

Elizabeth walked into science, her favorite class. Most of the tables were empty, so she sat down at one in the front of the class. She began working on her homework, waiting for class to start.

Eliza heard Cassandra's voice, looking over to her. "Sure!" she said, giving her a small smile.

    

Eddie entered the science classroom, wearing an angry scowl on his face. Before this, you could hear two people yelling at each other, but it was in a kind of ‘friend’ way. One always joking, and then the one who hated it and got annoyed. But, as Eddie let the science door close behind him, he exhaled, relaxing a bit. His gaze landed on the only other two people in the room. On one hand, he knew Cass. On the other, he’d only seen the other girl in the halls and this classroom. So, being the questioning figure he is, he decided to sit…all the way across the room from them.
  

"No problem" Eliza said. "By the way, what's your name?" she asked Cassandra. She turned and saw Eddie sitting on the other side of the room, noticing his expression. What's his problem? she thought to herself.

"I'm Elizabeth, but you can call me Eliza. Nice to meet you, Cassandra" Eliza said. "You know him?" she asked, looking at Eddie. She saw him in class before, but never knew his name.

    

Not replying verbally, Eddie rose a pale hand up and waved at Cassandra before putting his head down and slamming his head on the table, drawing circles in the metal desks with his clawed fingernails.
  

"Oh, that's nice" Eliza said, smiling back at Cass. "So Cass, what are you? Mythical creature, that is" she asked.

"I'm a vampire too, but not half. The rest of my family is human" Eliza said. "What about Eddie" she asked. looking in his direction.

"Well, I have music after this class, so I'm going there next. What's your next class?" Eliza asked.

    

Eddie couldn’t help but listen in on their conversation. His highly good sense of hearing made him unable to block it out. Sometimes, he thinks he’d rather have full night vision then hearing. It was really annoying at times. So, he hissed lightly, sitting up and turning to look at them. “How do you even keep a conversation stabilized by talking about school?”
  

    

Eddie frowned a bit, his question having not been answered by the girl he knew. Rolling his eyes, he sat up on the chair and jumped off, shifting to a bat right before he landed on the floor. Then he flapped his way over to the two and sat on the chair next to Cassandra. He was extremely tiny, even for a bat, so he had to shift back to his main form right after.
  

"Sure" Eliza said, smiling. She turned to Eddie, who was sitting with them now. "What? We were just having a conversation. Can we not talk about school?" she said, rolling her eyes at him.

Eddie rolled his eyes. “Okay, first of all, what’s to like about school? Second of all,” The half-vampire glared at Eliza. “I don’t know you.” Then he looked at Cass. “Third of all, sure. If I’m not busy.”

"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't know you would be offended by us talking about school." Eliza said sarcastically. "I don't really know you, either. And, we didn't say either way if we liked school or not. We were just talking about what classes we have" she said to Eddie.

Mateo looked around the room seeing the mint green walls "So whats your favorite subject?" He asked trying to make conversation with her

"lunch? I mean it is great and all but you dont hvae a regualr favorite subject, something taught by a teacher?" He asked chuckling a little as well

"That does seem like it would be fun" He said smiling at her, not pushing the subject further

"yes we can" HE said smiling at her (myabe lunch afte that and they sit together? also how saher coming along?))

Layla was organizing her desk. She had her books stacked and tidy, her laptop in front of her, and she grabbed her notebook, setting it next to the books. She looked at the clock. There was thirty minutes until class started. She decided to work on homework for art while waiting for class to start.

Maya walked in, hoping the teacher wouldn't notice that she didn't do the homework, she sat down next to a random person who just happened to be Layla. She quickly took out her paper and started writing.

Layla had already done the science homework, which was why she was working on a digital art project. She looked over and noticed Maya sitting next to her, working on homework for what she assumed was science. "Do you need any help with that?" she asked.

"Yes please", she said under her breath. "I just no have time the whole week!", she said to the girl.

Layla smiled. "Don't worry, it happens to all of us" she said. She looked over the homework, which was mostly just questions about the human body and biology in general. She carefully examined each question, thinking of the answers. "Let's see..."

Maya smiled. "Wat you name?", she asked the girl once she was kind of understanding the work.

"Layla. What's your name?" Layla asked. She read the first question, and nodded. "Oh, this one is easy! How many bones are in the human body ? So, how many bones do you think a human has?" She looked over at Maya, waiting for her to respond.

"Me name Maya", she answered and looked at the paper, "Uhm, two, zero, six?", she said a little unsure. "Or two, one, three?"

"Nice to meet you, Maya!" Layla said. She nodded at Maya's answer. "Yep! Your first answer is correct. 206!" She gave a small clap with her hands, celebrating the other girl's answer. "Good job! Now on to the next question" she said.

“Ho do mucles work?”, she tried reading the question, “what is ‘mucles’?”, she asked kindly and looked at the girl, “like meet and flesh?”, Maya assumed.

Layla gave a light chuckle. "In a way, yes. They are what help us pull, push, and lift objects. Without them, we really wouldn't be able to do much. That's why other animals and creatures have them, too. The jaw is a muscle too, which allows us to chew and eat food" she explained.

"Ohhhh, Bak'", she said happily "Uhm I 'mucles' get flexed when hooman moves body in dirrections?", she said unsure and confused by her own wording.

"Yes" Layla said with a smile. She moved her arm up and down, showing that she was flexing the muscles in her arm. "You're pretty good at science. Is it your favorite subject?" she asked.

“Uhm no, fight class is me favorite”, she said with a smile “that was all work, I think teacher is going to come soon”, Maya said and pointed at the clock.

"Oh, that's cool. I'm not much of a fighter. I don't like confrontation" Layla said. She looked over at clock where Maya pointed, nodding her head. "Yeah, you're right. Class should be starting soon." She put her laptop away, deciding that she will finish the art project after class.

Sapphire walked into the science classroom, with Rowan following behind. "Here is the science room" she said. She took a seat towards the front of the room, placing her books and other supplies neatly in front of her. "You can take a seat anywhere you want." She grinned.

"Where do you sit?"

"Usually in the front" Sapphire said. "It makes it easier to see what the teacher is writing on the board." She opened her science textbook, flipping to a page and quickly glancing at it before writing a few notes to herself in her notebook so she wouldn't forget.

"I'll sit next to you then."

Sapphire smiled. "That's fine with me. No problem at all" she said. She padded the seat next to her, indicating that Rowan was allowed to sit there. She grabbed a highlighter from her bag, using to highlight some of the notes she had taken, figuring that they were important to remember.

She sat down next to her, moving her tail slightly from the uncomfortable position. She took out her notebook and got ready

Sapphire skimmed over a few more pages of her book, taking more notes as she read. She glanced over at Rowan. "And don't worry. Science class isn't too difficult once you get the hang of it. It's much more interesting than PE" she said with a light chuckle.

"Well that's a relief." she replied, smiling at her. "I always like science at my old school." She began to write down some notes

Sapphire smiled back. "Me too" she said. She paused for a moment, drifting in her thoughts. "My dad is a science teacher at my old school. I guess that's why I've always been interested in it. Especially biology and anatomy. Those are my favorite sciences."

"What are we going over today?" She asked
