Goodreads Authors/Readers discussion

Hi. I know everyone has their favorite authors and I'm sure like me some of your faves have just dropped off the face of the earth. So I thought I I'd start a "whatever happened to" thread to see if anyone else knows any info
One of my favorites is Ava Lore. She had a ton of books but then all of a sudden she stopped. I can't find any info. Anyone know what happened?

Oh and if anyone knows what happened to Christine Warren that would be cool too

Another example: Jean M. Auel, author of the Earth's Children 6-book series, beginning with The Clan of the Cave Bear. They were published by Bantam Books from 1981 thtough 2011.

I read nearly all of them, but I thought she lost it a bit in the last one. There seemed to be a lot of repetition. However, I enjoyed the earlier ones. But I don't know if Jean M Auel is still writing or not.

Jean M Auel
Born in Chicago, is currently 86, married with five childern. Took her husband's last name Auel. Has a Masters in Business Studies from Portland.
And has perhaps given up writing after completing the six Earth's Children novels.

Clan of the Cave Bear is the sole one to be made into a movie in 86 staring Daryl Hannah, and later a TV movie in 2015.

Sometimes authors writes under a different name or names.
