Rules
🧛Each monster has specific chains that need to be completed.
Examples:
1. Create a chain of 3 using titles consecutively (ABC)

2. Create a chain of 3 with "dog" in the titles
-Shoe Dog: A Memoir by the Creator of Nike
-The Dog Stars
-Hot Dog Girl
🧛One person should NOT complete a whole chain by themselves. This is a team challenge.
🧛You may choose which creature to capture first but you MUST complete it BEFORE starting a new creature.
🧛You may use or drop articles: A, An, The
🧛If you somehow manage to incorporate a Formal Buddy Read book into a chain, you will earn 2 bonus points. See the buddy read folder for the current book. They are also listed in the spreadsheet dropdown list (when your team has a thread & spreadsheet assigned to them).

Hello guys,I am very lost.first time here,I think I played some other challenge a while back but not this Halloween monster thingy???im looking forward to it.
I’m live in Ireland and I have two little boys,a cat and a husband 🥴.I like to read contemporary and some YA,romance,mystery and anything I put my hands on.

I think some of the other teams are naming their team,should we go for a name too?

Which monster would you all like to slay first?

Hi Jennifer, nice to meet you. Booked to kill sounds good to me.
I had a look at the SS and I don’t have any preference.should we go with first on SS? Mummy. Am I right to think the chains have to be completed before we start a new one? I’m not 100% sure on this.
If it works for you when we are doing the three letters(A,B,C etc) could we go with (G,H,I) or (E,F,G) as long as there’s a G if that makes any sense, that way I can read a book that needs to be returned to the library soon. Other than that, I am easy going. 🥴

Mummy is great with me and yes on the letters. Let me see what books I need to read this month and I will tell you what letters I have. I asked over on the Q & A thread yesterday and Donna said we can more than one body part going as long as it's on the same monster. I'll check back in this evening with what books I have. So excited to play!

Alma I have an E or H I can use so just let me know which letter you need and I'll take one of those. Have a pleasant day!

Haha I am very excited too. Yeah,I’ll have a look this evening and let you know what books I have. At the moment the only secured book I want to read is The grand Sophie. I’ll have a look and see what I find for the other tasks.

I have all 4 of my books chosen for Mummy but haven't added them to the spreadsheet yet. Been to busy choosing. lol

Alma I have completed my letter "H" book. I just added it to the spreadsheet. It wasn't very long and I needed it for another challenge so just went ahead and knocked it out.

I'm gonna go ahead and begin my book with pumpkins on the cover. It's a bit longer but if it's "good" I should be able to get through it quick to.

I hope Jesa checks in soon. I tried to message her but she has her profile set for no messages.......

I messaged her a link to here yesterday so hopefully, she checks in soon. Give her a couple of days. If she doesn't check in, let me know.

How are things going?
Are you happy with your tasks Jesa?
I am in the middle of my next two books.I’m afraid I don’t read long books and some weeks I’ll have read one book while others I’ll have three. Depends on my mood and how much I am enjoying whatever I am reading.
At the moment I am reading Why mummy drinks and it is hilarious and so so relatable,rather frightening really.

Hi Alma! I been reading my pumpkin book and it is so good. A fluffy fun read but I needed it so much after a couple darker material reads. I'm almost done with it and think I will read my "mummy" book next. Another fluffy and hopefully good read! It has a piggy on the cover and I adore oil piggies! I know I'm a bit weird I guess. lol

I don't read a lot of long books either. They have to be extra good for me to! I am also a mood reader.

ooops hand slipped and I can't edit on my kindle! Was going to ask if y'all wanted to do the monsters in order or skip around? If prefer to skip about which would y'all like to tackle next? Just asking ahead in case I need to put some library books on hold. Hope y'all have an awesome week!

Haha oil piggies, little piggies, I never question what people enjoy reading. None of my business 😆.
I am happy to go with the order the monsters are presented to us if that’s easier but I am happy to go with anything else.
Jesa if you can let us know what you prefer, it’ll be very helpful. Also where you are at the moment with your reading. We can’t move on to a new monster unless we all read every task for each individual monster.

Hi team! I have a question for you. I am getting questions about finishing early and redoing tasks for higher points. Would you like an opportunity for a bonus monster instead? The bonus monster would have a couple of extra books required because it is a higher difficulty monster to chain. Thoughts? I want input from all the teams before I go forward with offering the bonus.

That sounds good to me. I don’t know what The other team members think. Jesa hasn’t really been in touch since her check in,which was that,checking in.I’m waiting a day or so but I’d say she is actively participating on this challenge. can you correct me if I’m wrong Jesa?

I asked her to stop in and advise if she is still playing or not. I do have a backup player if we need one.

Bonus monster sounds better th an redoing a former task. I'm not certain what's going on with Jesa because like Alma said all we have heard from her is a simple check in. We don't even know if she's started a book yet. I hope she responds soon.

That's awesome Jesa! Ladies just trying to plan ahead for Frankenstein... We need to read a book each with a common word like all three books need the word good in the title or all three books need to have ghost in the titles or ect.... Is there any special words y'all can think of?

Below are a few books I need to read soon. Does any of them have a word in them that would fit with a title of a book you all need/want to read soon? If not could ya'll please post several books you need/want to read soon and I will see if I have anything to match one of them. Just trying to plan ahead and not wait until last minute to get something lined up.

I have the world shifter waiting to be read but I wonder if shift and shifter will work as the same word.I’ll keep looking for more books and let you know what I find.I’ll work with your titles and accommodate my book.

I have found a book”A spring affair”. Let’s see if Jesa decides to participate. Donna is aware of her lack of dialogue.

I have also finished my second book”why mummy drinks”, it is hilarious although a bit repetitive at times but I recommend it if you fancy a laugh.

LOL @Why Mommy Drinks! It sounds fun. I just noticed there is a whole series of "Why Mommy" books. The one you read sounds the best though.
