Into the Wild discussion

This book is about Chris McCandless leaving his family and friends and approaching Alaska for an adventure. The wilderness is his home. McCandless doesn't really worry about anything and at times can show that he doesn't have the characteristic of being outgoing. When Chris leaves to go on his adventure in the wild he then wants to go by the name Alex so know one recognizes him. In this story Chris's personality is really brought into the book and show his attitude towards what he wants to do. I would recommend this book for high-schoolers and ages above because at certain times the book is hard to understand. Overall, I think this was an ok book to read for English class and the ending shocked me the most.
