My loose definition is an album that made the Top 20 charts somewhere in the world but mainly one that most of us would recognise the name of even if we weren't familiar with the contents. Hope that's a broad enough definition for you all. You can choose to nominate two tracks from the same album or two from different albums.

Just a reminder folks, I said "studio albums". You all get a pass though. Jemma's "Lyin’ Eyes" was on The Eagles' fourth album "One Of These Nights" which was a Top 10 album nearly everywhere. Tech's "The Day Before You Came" was on their last album "The Visitors" and likewise made the top of the charts everywhere.

Before I get jumped on from a great height Val, my Pentangle link is to a live BBC Special performance rather than the actual studio recording. Is that OK, or would you prefer it changed?

No problem with a live rendition Tim. The song appeared on a best-selling studio album and that's all that matters.

Late but in earnest. We have a tie for first place (both on 17 points) between Tech with ABBA and Tim with CSN & Y. I'm not doing a countback, they both scored two top votes. Second place is also a tie (on 13 votes). This time it's Jemma with Dire Straits and KJS with Tom Petty. Jemma also takes third spot with The Eagles on 12 votes.
