Lois turns a bit and notices that there's two bean bags and two tables. She raises her eyebrows slightly.
I guess I'm getting a roommate... Papa's going to be so excited. He's always worrying about how I don't socialize with people my age very often...
Her face softens a little as she thinks about her father, which makes her look even younger and more vulnerable in the empty room.
She turns around fully and notices the other bed. It's surrounded by purple lights that set off a unique glow.
I wonder how well we will get along? Lois ponders to herself. I hope we'll get along! Hopefully she's nice...
She lets her mind wander as she explores.
Ooooh, nice bathroom — oh my gosh! The tub!! Amazing...and oh, look, the closet...!
She sets down the luggage she was carrying (a surprisingly large amount for a girl her size) and takes out her clothes, neatly arranging them into the closet.
Eris pushes the door aside, pulling her several bags and suitcases behind her. There was already someone busy at work inside...her roommate she was guessing? She pulls all of her things inside and sits on the bed. She looks around at her side of the room...bare walls, empty mattress, huge closet...she could get along nicely here once she decorated and unpacked.
Lois turns around and sees an older girl come in, her hands full with bags. Must be my roommate! The girl is tall-ish, with blue hair.
Eris looks up at the other girl. She looked...younger. She had long blonde hair and pointed ears. "Hey!" she greets her, standing and extending her hand to the other girl. "I'm Eris."
"Um, hi!" Lois says, standing up besides her. The height difference is immediately evident. Eris was at least a head taller than Lois.
Wow, she's tall...! Or maybe I'm short...
"I'm Lois." She shakes her roommate's hand.

"I see you're already getting settled?" she says to her, flopping back down onto her plain mattress. She looks at her many bags and has the sudden motivation to begin organizing her large wardrobe.
"Yeah..." Lois says softly. "The sooner the better, right?" She gives a small smile.
"Yeah, I suppose so." Eris replies, pulling out a pair of black platform boots from her suitcase. She peeks her head around to see Lois' side of the room. "Jesus, that's a huge tub!" she exclaims, a shoe slipping from her hand and she stares into the bathroom.
"I know, right?" Lois says, laughing. "I requested it."
Eris bends down and scoops up her fallen boot. She tears her gaze away from the extravagant bathroom and looks at Lois. "So, what's your magical ability? And before you become all uncomfortable, I promise there is always someone more weird here and that's coming from one of the strangest people here."
"I'm a mix of elf and naiad," Lois replies. "Hence the tub... What about you, one of the strangest people here?"
"I...um, I'm kinda dead." Eris says and laughs. "I'm a poltergeist. I died at birth, but my abilities kept me like this so I look and feel alive and I age with time but at a certain point, I'll stop growing completely and just be..." she explains.
"Wow...." Lois is shocked into silence for a moment, processing that. "Cool," she finally says. "That's like being immortal!"
"Yeah, I guess. It strikes me more as weird, to be honest. I can't die but for a long time, no one knew I was dead. But I'm still mostly human...I can interact with stuff and I can't walk through stuff like a ghost, but I am technically dead." Eris explains. She reaches back into her suitcase and pulls out a pair of white platform Converse shoes and tosses them into her closet.
((Totally fine! I've been busy too😅))"Like I said...cool," Lois says, smiling. "How do you know you're dead, anyway?"
Eris grins. "So, uh, when I went to the doctor when I was just hitting whatever form of puberty I was going through, they tried to draw blood to make sure I was still doing okay or whatever and they couldn't find a single drop of blood in me. When they ran my vitals like heart rate and such, they were so messed up and off the charts that the only reasonable explanation for it was...I was dead." she tells her with a wicked smile.
((My turn to be soooo sorry...😭😭 I've been busy, too!!!😥😥))Lois shakes her head in bewilderment. "Well, that's quite a tale...Never had a dead person as a roommate before, so that's going to be fun."
Not that I've ever had any type of roommate before...
Eris laughs joyfully. "You won't even know I'm dead, other than the fact that my skin stays fabulous and I sometimes make weird noises in my sleep." she admits. She reaches into her suitcase and pulls out another pair of shoes, this time it was a tall pair of dark blue go-go boots. "By the way, I, uh, have a tendency to kinda...mess with people's stuff. It's just the poltergeist in me, so don't be alarmed if I mess with your stuff. I promise to never steal a thing but I thought I would let you know that something like that may...happen." she adds with a shrug.
"Meh, as long as you don't take it, it's fine," Lois answers. "I know what it's like to have your power sometimes...control you."
((I'm assuming Eris doesn't actually want to mess with people's stuff?))
Eris grins and nods. "Yeah, it's definitely kind of weird, but I'm used to it. Please feel free to tell me off at any point in time. Once I realize I'm being annoying and invasive, I stop." she says with a smirk.
"Sure, I'll do that," Lois says, laughing.
She looks around the room. "This place is pretty amazing...it's a wonder it even exists."
There is a soft click as the lock turns and the door is slowly pushed open, revealing a small, petite girl, Lois Luna.
She takes in the room, noticing the huge bed first. It's several times bigger than her old bed, and in various shades of her favorite color — blue. A small smile crept onto her face, and she said a silent thank you to whomever prepared it for her.
