Hi, all.

Here's the spoiler thread for Shutter Island by Dennis Lehane.

The book's plot and gothic descriptions were copied almost exactly by the movie, only with the gothic details made explicitly visual. I liked both the book and movie, but I think the movie is better because of the visualization effects. This book clearly would be a great movie, so I'm glad people did that.

Rare case where I liked the film better (from what I remember, saw it years ago). There were some aspects of the book that I didn't really care for, but clearly I'm in the minority on that opinion.

Same for me. Enjoyed the film more. Rarely happens
