Book of Fortune Challenge:
Just like the show, Wheel of Fortune, this challenge will have hangman-type word puzzles to solve. Each puzzle will be book related as well. For example, it could range from a quote to a character or a title to an author.

Each puzzle will belong to a category/genre and every team will have their own puzzle to solve. In the show, a contestant would spin the wheel and then guess a letter. Unlike the show, team members will guess for a letter and then I will spin the wheel when doing scores.

When guessing for a letter, you can use a book in one of the following ways:

1) Using the FIRST letter in ANY word in the title.
2) Using the FIRST letter in ANY word in the series title.
3) Using the FIRST letter in the author's first or last name. Middle initial/name is also acceptable.

**For the titles, you can use ANY edition as well.
*** One book PER letter.

For example, if a team had the following puzzle. . .

Category/Genre: Book Quote

"_ _ _ | _ _ | _ _ _ | _ _ _ _ | _ _ _ _ | _ _ | _ _ _ _ | _ _ _ _ | _ _ _ | _ _ _ _."

Then a team member guessed the following letter. . .

I will then spin the lovely book of fortune wheel. If it lands on the following you could lose or gain bonus points.

Following the example up above, I would let the team know that the letter U was not in the puzzle and what the wheel landed on. If a letter is not in the puzzle, and the wheel landed on a space that would normally give points, the team would then lose the bonus points instead. So, if it landed on 100 and they guessed U, the team would have -10 bonus points.

The wheel will be spun for each letter guessed. Once a book is posted/guessed for a letter, it can't be moved to a different one once it has been counted and added into the scores. The only time you can move it around is if the puzzle was completed before scores were done.

This challenge will only take place during the months of November and December. That means, books will be accepted from November 1st to December 31st. Winners will be announced on January 1st.

If you start a book before November, you will only be able to count the pages that you read in November for this challenge. If the page amount is over 100 pages, you can still count it towards a letter.

When signing up, please mention the number of books you plan on reading for the months of November and December. This number will be easier for me to make teams match up a bit more evenly.

For example,

Alaina - 50 bpm
Felicia - 10 bpm
Andy - 15 bpm
Aly - 50 bpm
Jennifer - 25 bpm

**You will not be penalized if you go over or under your number.**

Page Points
1 - 50 pages → 0.25 pts (will only count for page points)
51 - 99 pages → 0.5 pts (will only count for page points)
100 - 149 pages → 1 pt
150 - 249 pages → 2 pts
250 - 349 pages → 3 pts
350 - 449 pages → 4 pts
450 - 549 pages → 5 pts
550 - 649 pages → 6 pts
650 - 749 pages → 7 pts
750 - 849 pages → 8 pts
850 - 949 pages → 9 pts
950+ pages → 10 pts

Buddy Reads will DOUBLE your points.
BOTM will TRIPLE your points.
