What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I never read this but I saw it in this group recently. I searched in here for it recently but it vanished...
It wasn't the correct book someone was looking for but someone else suggested it might be their book. It was similar to Lolita but this girl posed as dolls and was the basis for this man's children's books about dolls.

That sounds a little like Belinda.
