Finished it last night...Overaĺl I liked the book, but I didn't love it. There were some things I didn't expect like Ramy. Robin annoyed me towards the end to be fair lol. Victoire is the only one I liked throughout the whole story. Some parts of the book were really good and some just dragged a bit. I went in with pretty high expectations unfortunately.
What did you think, Courtney?

Same as you Corina, I didn’t hate the book but I didn’t love it. I thought 550 pages was a little much and the story would have been better if it was shorter but yeah I give it 3 stars just because it was average. I wouldn’t recommend it but I def had brighter expectations for this one!!!

Lol Courtney! I rounded up to 4 as I thought the themes and ideas were really good, but the execution lacked in places. Also, yes, I agree that it could have been shorter.

Yeah it def had a really good theme and a good plot it was just a little dry and a little redundant getting from point A to B.

I'm listening to it again! my library did a "lucky turn" and I got to borrow it ahead of the line but I have to finish it within 7 days instead of the usual 21 haha. its pretty slow at first and I was trying to get used to the narrator haha

Oh yay! I wish my library did things like that!! I am probably gonna start the Ninth House today or tomorrow and I think Corinas already started it… other than that no real set plans… I think we were both waiting for you to finish and get situated with school so we can all read together…. there is definitely a lot of good books out though!

Speaking of Native American, I ordered Demon Copperhead recently and I believe it has something to do with Native American history. I'm still waiting on my copy though. Otherwise, happy with any other suggestions...God knows I have too many books on my shelves and kindle lol

I just finished a really good book called Mad Honey by Jodi Piccoult I think.. .it was a really surprisingly good book.

I heard about it but I kind of gave up on Jodi Picoult books lol, though I know Mad Honey was a collab with someone else too

I know I was really hesitant on it because I’m not a fan of hers but I’m glad I read it.
