I really enjoyed that book also.. we read it for my bookclub and now I've read all of the books in this series except the last one. That's on my TBR. Great "detective" stories and love the characters.

message 767: by Shirley (new)

Shirley E | 3 comments Hamerston Hall I've always enjoyed vintage stories so thought this book enjoyable. It is set during the British regency era but is not a historical novel. It reads somewhat like a Jane Austen book crossed with a bit of Charles Dickens

message 796: by Cass (new)

Cass Servin (cassixdoll) | 1 comments Last book I read from Reese's book club was the First Lie Wins. I just posted a full review on it but I totally loved it because of the fact that it focuses on Evie Porter leading a double life and working these secret jobs while also struggling internally of the idea of wanting out and a normal life for once. She is also very morally grey.
