Tammie | 4553 comments Oh boy...I need to get to work searching...we are a pretty talented group...I think we can do it!

Kaley (kaleyamo) | 1977 comments I had to remove one book from the spreadsheet because I won’t finish it in time. It was an S in the first spelling of the phrase. It looks like we have an S in the last incomplete spelling we can move up, so hopefully that doesn’t mess us up.

I still might be able to fit in another book before the deadline — I just won’t be able to do the one I was planning on. I have a lot of driving ahead today and tomorrow morning so I might be able to squeeze an audiobook in. I just only have the hardcover copy of the other book I’m reading so that won’t work!

message 254: by Tammie (new)

Tammie | 4553 comments OK...thanks for letting us know Kaley!

message 255: by [deleted user] (last edited Dec 11, 2022 10:49AM) (new)

Opps i thought it was last day in a few hours was about to start messing everyone. Ill relax now but in that case i should be able to get both S done by tomorrow i was about to start zombie books im weridly excited about it but ill find two more s instead.

message 256: by Cindy (new)

Cindy | 152 comments I have 2 books that can work for S if needed. I won’t be able to log them until later though but just so everyone knows

message 257: by Vicki (new)

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 2326 comments I read a book yesterday that I hadn't added and just added the S for us!! Woo hoo!

I have to admit that I HATE zombie books! I can take 1 or maybe 2 for the team but most likely this last round is going to be TOUGH for me and getting those tags/colors, but especially the tags. Sorry up front!

Alright Vicki...whoohoo!

Remember all...we can have 1 unfinished spellout...so if you read for anything else...just put it in the last unfinished word.

Looks like this has been a strong round for us. Nice work all!

Tammie | 4553 comments description
We do have one unclaimed 'O' in our last spellout...if anyone reads extra we will be able to fill that in by moving books around...so just fill in the next section.

Here's what I show outstanding:
Alyana: Three Wishes | Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing
Jodie: Fake Friend
M: Bared to You
Vicki: Arsenic and Adobo, Night Road

message 260: by Tammie (last edited Dec 11, 2022 02:49PM) (new)

Tammie | 4553 comments I'm going to try Anita Black, Vampire Hunter Series I've had book 4 on my tbr for some reason for awhile...has anyone read this series? Books 1-4 count for Zombies.

A couple of books on my 'read shelves' that count for Zombies that I can recommend:
Magic Bites
One Foot in the Grave #2 in the Night Huntress series...#1 doesn't count, it's a good series
At Grave's End #3 Night Huntress

message 261: by Alyana (new)

Alyana | 1064 comments I got an hour left for Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing. Will update the sheet later. Three Wishes should be done likely close to the deadline.

message 262: by Alyana (new)

Alyana | 1064 comments I will try the Warm Bodies series since it was mentioned that it got adapted to a movie so it should be good. I hope so.

message 263: by Vicki (new)

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 2326 comments I can cover the letter O but tomorrow I am watching my grandkids and we have 21+ hours until the round is over. SO I won't be able to post my last book on time, so Tammie, if I message you when I am done can you add it to the SS for me? I will go ahead and add all my books for this round to the Wheels shelf as I check them all so that will be done. I won't be home tomorrow night until around 6:00pm which means 6 hours after the round ends. If that won't work, I'll remove one of my books.

That's fine Vicki...just make sure it's on your shelf for tomorrow's finish date...as long as I hear from you before our timer runs out, we're good to go with your plan!

It's already on my shelf and it's Rum and Raindrops

message 266: by [deleted user] (new)

im done with my books for the week i have an hour before tree decorating time i both love and hate it

message 267: by Alyana (new)

Alyana | 1064 comments I just finished my last book for this round.

message 268: by Tammie (new)

Tammie | 4553 comments OK...as of this minute, I have finalized our move for finished books to our main Team SS. The totals aren't computing to the main yet...some kind of error...but the mods will work that out.

Another great round...

message 269: by Tammie (new)

Tammie | 4553 comments ...I just looked at our claims...look at all those zombie books...so happy to be on a team that will endure those things...and the week before Christmas too!

I've started my first...happy to report it's not aweful, but I'm probably going to have to try a different series...giant rats aren't doing it for me...hehe!

Recommendations please!

message 272: by Tammie (last edited Dec 12, 2022 03:29PM) (new)

Tammie | 4553 comments FYI
M - I moved Battle Royale and The Passage to the O spot. Just made sense as these are tougher to find.

message 273: by Tory (new)

Tory Hendershot (nghtstlkr64) | 240 comments Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter was a fun book and has 19 tags for zombies. Didn't know there was a sequel (though sadly that one doesn't count for zombies). Also didn't know he's the one who wrote Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Think I might give that one a try. I think the only other zombie book I read was World War Z which I remember enjoying.

That is fine, move anything around to make it fit

Nice work Daisy Jones and the Six!

Alyana | 1064 comments Woohoo Daisy Jones and the Six!

Hi all, I would just like to let you know that as of this moment, I am down with the flu. I will try to read the books that I claimed but I'm not sure if I can cover more than that. My apologies.

message 277: by Kaley (new)

Kaley (kaleyamo) | 1977 comments I just noticed -- It looks like we're missing a letter on our planning sheet for each spell out. There should be three Ses in a row, right? Needless Street?

message 283: by Tammie (new)

Tammie | 4553 comments All thank you for your contributions to our challenge! Please do read what you love.
I’ve read a couple of zombie books but I’m reading for other challenges too…we’ll continue to do well if we’re reading what we enjoy!

message 284: by Vicki (new)

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 2326 comments You're right, Tammie! I'm doing okay with zombie books and decided to read several of them. Not my favorite for sure but not too bad. I'm trying to figure out a good, maybe GR Choice Awards Winner or nominee to read.

BTW team...My GREAT GRANDDAUGHTER (6th great) was born last night, Dec. 13. Scarlett Rain Carson came into the world weighing 9lb 3 oz. :) She's perfect in every way and healthy, praise God! Mommy is doing well bless her heart...she's 4'11" and is only 90 pounds herself so how did she do that? lol No C-section required either. SO happy for them! They now have a Jay who'll be 5 in May and the baby. I am so blessed!

Alyana | 1064 comments congrats Vicki!

checking in team, I feel really sick right now, I can't finish a book bc I can't focus, my throat hurts and I'm having chills from time to time. I'm not sure if this was the flu, or I might've gotten the new virus going around. I tested negative for covid but this is the first time I felt really sick.

You take care...I hate being sick and I agree...it's impossible to read...find a tv program or just call it a day. I hope someone is taking care of you...some medicine is likely warranted.

Alot is going around at the moment ive had a headache all day so havent read anything either which i hate. Simply because to me a day reading noting is a day i wasted. Probarly how ive managed to read more books then i thought i would. Set my challenge this year to 365 and set to my partner i ll never do not even going to try i just set it high so i dont have to change it. I have gone way passed that. My headache would go when it past midnight hear and i should be going back to bed but now wide awake.

Tammie | 4553 comments I can’t believe we’re at the halfway point for our last week of the challenge…the time has flown by.

I finished The Christie Affair by Nina de Gramont a few days ago…really good!

I’m just about done with In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren …I’ve decided I need to read more of this author…nice light read!
