November has arrived and we are officially on the heels of 2023. I hope you all had the best spooky reading season and are ready for this month's TBR Game prompts!

As usual I'm adding a new rule, haha.
🌲from now on I'll allow you to use the punishment prompt (card & roll) in place of any other turn you don't like. Obviously this will only work if you don't need the punishment prompt- which I abolished last month. or the month before? I cant remember- either way I'm only taking a turn for the punishment for those of you who still want to implement it. But now you can use it even if you aren't taking punishments if you so choose. I hope I didn't confuse you- if so just touch base with me and ill try to explain it better.

Turn #1
Card: Read a steamy novel
Roll: Get a recommendation.

explanation: Steamy is subjective so any book you think will have steamy, sexy, spicey scenes in it will work- but it must be a book you've had recommended to you which could be as simple as a book you saw someone recommend on YouTube, tiktok or even here.

Turn #2
Card: Read a sweet contemporary.
Roll: New author

self- explanatory. Keep in mind this could be easily doubled up with turn 1 and even 7 as you'll soon find out.

Turn #3
Card: One of the first books recommended by Amazon.
Roll: Freebie!

explanation: You can go to amazon and, using the menu click on books and then choose from the first several books that pop up. If you have a book wishlist you'll find a menu at the end called 'inspired by the items in your list" and you could choose a book from there or you could simply click on the first amazon ad that pops up advertising a book on Goodreads as you'll often see in the margins on the site and even in the top banner. Another option would be to search for amazon on google and see what books pop up in the google search. I was also very happy to roll the Freebie because this would have been a tough prompt to pair up with any other roll.. the die gods were on our side tonight!

Turn #4
Card: Fire in the title or on the cover.
Roll: roll again.

self-explanatory... you'll find the extra roll at the end.

Turn #5
Card: Read a horror
Roll: paperback.

explanation: this would have been perfect for last month but alas its decided to pop up now. Do you have any horror books you had on your tbr last month that you didn't get to or a horror that you started but didn't get to finish before the end of the month? those would be good options.. as long as it's a paperback 🙃

Roll #6 (extra roll)
Card: Snake in the title or on the cover.
Roll: ebook/audiobook

Roll #7 (punishment or replacement)
Card: Let Summer pick your next read.
Roll: Past tbr.

explanation: I hope some of you end up choosing this prompt so I can choose a book for you haha- I recommend curating a list of books from past Tbr's you still want to read and letting me choose one for you. that would be the simplest route to take on this one. If you choose to go with the original prompts above thats totally fine- ill just stick this card back in the deck for next month 😉
