That's what I thought, too. Good movie!

That's what I thought, too. Good movie!"
I wil have to check that out. Christian Bale as Ken Miles (who I had never heard of before listening to the book) looks like great casting. I knew about Shelby but only from the Mustang.

Another slow reading month for me.
Here are my October reads:
Top Read
The Other Wife - Michael Robotham
This was a return to the high standards of the earlier books in the series. I really enjoyed the plot and the characters and hope there will be further works at some point. Listened to the audio version which was narrated by Seán Barrett who did his usual stellar job.
Good Reads
Go Like Hell: Ford, Ferrari, and Their Battle for Speed and Glory at Le Mans - A.J. Baime
An interesting look at how the Ford Motor Company decided that success in racing would sell cars and how they went all in to challenge Ferrari who had reigned supreme at Le Mans for years. While I knew racing was dangerous I did not know how many perished back then. Listened to the audio which was well narrated by Jones Allen.
Maskerade - Terry Pratchett
I always enjoy the novels in this series that feature Granny Weatherwax and Nanny Ogg and this was no exception. The plot revolves around the Ankh-Morpork Opera house which seems to be haunted. Listened to the audio version which was narrated by Nigel Planer.
Blacktop Wasteland - S.A. Cosby
Some of the best car chase scenes I have every read but this dark book had a little too much action and violence for my tastes.
