Donna (donnaweyer) | 44 comments I posted this under the needs a cover area a couple days ago but hadn't heard from anyone...and since an post after mine was answered i think the fact i had two posts in a row threw folks off :) Anyway...

There's an entry for isbn 9781436107242 that is set up without any real information on it.

here's what i have for it: The Plague of Doves
10 CD's 11.25 hours
Narrated by Peter Francis James and Kathleen McInerney
Produced by Recorded Books 2008

I have a cover image - it's not like any of the others - i scanned it from the library copy i have here. I'm not sure how to get it to you though - what works the best for that?

Thanks!

donna

Someone else got most of the data (please post when you do that, folks!), but I corrected the "pages" to hours and found a cover image.

Donna (donnaweyer) | 44 comments rivka - thank you once again!

The cover of the cd i'm using from the library is different - and i haven't found it on any site yet. It's bright red with the title taking the most of the space, a few white doves and a red and black filigree edge. If you run across it anywhere that's great. I also have a scanned image too... if not what's there is just fine too.

Thanks!

donna

Donna (donnaweyer) | 44 comments like i said i haven't seen it anywhere else. However, since i borrowed this copy from my public library they must have gotten it somewhere :)

Sorry, I thought this was the CD book. At least it does have the correct image.

message 7: by Donna (new)

Donna (donnaweyer) | 44 comments that's the image i've seen everywhere else, but it's not the one on the copy i'm listening to. Very interesting :)

Stephen (stephenT) | 20 comments Funny thing is, when I try to locate the CD book, it shows no image!

message 9: by Donna (new)

Donna (donnaweyer) | 44 comments well, is there a way to get a scanned image from my computer to someone there? i'd be happy to do that

Stephen (stephenT) | 20 comments Cry out for help to the Rivka, et al. I am a lowly review writer, who sometimes adds a book and makes a series.

Email it to support AT goodreads DOT com. Please include the ISBN.

Stephen (stephenT) | 20 comments See? :-) you just have to know the proper invocations. hehehehe

message 13: by Donna (new)

Donna (donnaweyer) | 44 comments Stephen - ah, but you've got a great sense
i've noticed that rivka is the all powerful too... absolutely the right invocation :)

Bet you'll all be glad when i finally post my 50 books and join the librarian ranks... :) then i can deal with all my mp3's and cds. i do really read books too but they all seem to be in the database already :)

This does bring up another question... the whole process would have been much much easier if there hadn't already been the partial listing for that cd. I could have posted the cover image and added the necessary info. Is it legit for me to ask for a book to be removed so i can start all over again? or to add a new listing with the appropriate data and simply ask for the old to be removed? or is there a another way i'm not thinking of? I hate bugging you guys all the time just because i'm stubborn about not changing from the little game i'm playing with my personal book list.

thanks all! i'll get an email posted in a bit!

Actually, considering that it will be an alternate edition anyway, you probably should just create a new edition (with no ISBN, and a note in the description field that it is an alternate cover for this ISBN). Then any librarian can combine it with the other editions.

Donna (donnaweyer) | 44 comments rivka,

your wish is my command :) i have created a new edition with no isbn and a note in the description. The new cover shows up just fine.

Thanks!!

Combined with the others. Do you know how to "switch to this edition"?

message 17: by Donna (new)

Donna (donnaweyer) | 44 comments Great! Got the edition switched no problem - thanks for checking.

thanks!

My pleasure. :)

Now that you see how it's done, maybe you'll become a librarian after you have 50 books shelved.

message 19: by Donna (new)

Donna (donnaweyer) | 44 comments I will do so :) i'm only 12 away now - probably by the first of the year.
