At any ordinary time Thomas Reed and Elziwarry Figg would have never known of the existence of the other. Tom is a remarkable Senior at Sudbury High but mysterious circumstances threaten his existence. Elziwarry is a holy man whose fate is easily disregarded by the gods he serves known as Titans. Yet a series of events will shape their lives to culminate in a destiny neither thought was possible. At every turn they persevere in an attempt to survive and learn who are the shadowy forces that want them killed.
