I mean yes but only because I think that Hermione could be the only girl that could handle and clean up his bad behavior. I would also liked to see him get socked in the face again if he is out of line.
Absolutely not. Hermione deserves 100000000000x better than a filthy weasel who does nothing but sneer and call her slurs because of her background.

OMG I totally agree!!!! She is such an amazing character and she DOES deserve someone sooooooo much better than Draco.
I loved her and Ron honestly. But I also think with a bit of character building on Draco's part they could've worked
it would've required there own book
I'm not a fan of harry potter books and have only watched the movies(also read the first book) so maybe that's why... but I liked Draco better than the others excluding Hermione and Dumbledore. I know he's a bully or maybe worse. But...I feel like a little push could have made him better(just my opinion!!).

I k..."Because the movies changed aspects of the character, cut away the worst scenes and tried to make him more sympathetic especially in Half-blood Prince. Canonically Draco is a racist coward who only improves slightly in the last two books.
canonically hell no, but fanon wise: umm yes. dramione fanfics are something else. manacled was where it all started for me and I really think jkr wasted draco's character, he could've been sm more.

I mean, he could still be the mean boy who hates harry in the series, but it was the part where he called hermione a mudblood that ruined it for me. Otherwise, I think dramione is better than romione, because of the enemies to lovers and because I just didn't like rons character

I feel like JKR could've done sm with all the slytherins in general instead of casting them in a bad light. Some fanfictions I've read are better than the last few books of hp honestly. I just cannot read ron and hermione together after reading how great draco and hermione are together :")
Draco and hermione are a no for me. I don’t even understand how people can like Draco Malfoy. He has no right to act like he does. It’s not because your life is shitty that you should torment others. There is no logic behind the "relationship" fans created and I could never see Hermione liking him.
pls i totally agree with some of the posts above me. dramione is a 'no no' for me as well. i have friends who find it is the best ship in harry potter but no matter how many times they try to explain and convince me i just can't see hermione together with draco as a couple. 😐 although i have to say, i read a few fanfics recommended by dramione lovers, some were actually pretty cute, amusing and tragic. the writers of the fanfiction really put in a lot of time and effort which made the fanfiction such a success even for someone like me who does not support dramione at all.
i find that hermione would match well with harry or cedric. and i got a lot of hate for the cedric part BUT idk something abt them just makes sense to me 😍
I feel if there was smthing like this would have crazy and fun to read
Unpopular opinion: I don’t like hermione at all
I hate the Dramione ship. Draco is nothing more than a white supremacist, and anybody who once fully believed in that will never fully redeem themselves. Hermione deserves somebody who sees her as a worthy being, whether or not you like her or not.
In canon: no because Draco just doesn't have much redemption arc. But I'm not gonna lie, dramione has some really good fanfictions, better than actual published books.
I am sorry to those who think otherwise but can not envision Hermione with anyone else but Ron. The chemistry that they had in both the movies and the books just show how perfect they would be for each other. Draco does not deserve Hermione and vice versa. The constant bulling throughout the series between the two just puts a sour taste in my mouth.
I honestly think that if JK Rowling hadn’t wasted the potential Draco held he and hermione would have been a good ship

okay so hear me out. In fanfics they give Draco a whole backstory and change up his character so I can sort of understand why some people ship. I do agree that jkr could've done more with Draco's character, however, if talking about just the books—no. Although I will say that the drarry ship always made me mad because wtf thats never gonna work. Dramione has a better chance of happening but idk...

I disagree. While it would've been a cool connection to James and Lily, I think it would've ruined one of the best platonic friendships we get in books. Often the male and female characters always have to be dating but Harry and Hermione are a breath of fresh air with that. I'd hate to ruin what they have by the betrayal of her and Draco. Also, their personalities really aren't very compatible.
Enemies-into-lovers troupe has been done before and if JK Rowling DID decide to go down that path for Dramoine, it could've worked but it would've changed the story arc and given a modern love triangle similar to James-Lily-Snape with Ron-Hermione-Draco and in a way Draco still had his character growth without being romantically involved with Hermione but be disillusioned by his family's pureblood views and role in the war alongside Voldemort inspired Draco to have more tolerate views in his adult life, yes it would've been interesting to see how the story would've unfolded if different choices were made instead

Fanfic Draco and Canon Draco are completely different people... and if you haven't read any fanfics you probably aren't going to understand it. That being said, I love them together 🤭
