Melanie | 1911 comments 2022 Best of Nominations

This month’s theme comes via suggestion from Jennifer. Nominate your favorite YA book from 2022. This can be a book published in 2022 or just a book you read in 2022. (The 3 month publication rule will be waived for this month’s nominations). The book cannot already be on our groupBOOK SHELF, and the remaining standard nominating rules still apply (see below).

Nominating Rules:
- Nomination Period: Starts November 13 and will stay open for 7 days or until we have 4 valid nominations.
- One nomination per member.
- All nominations need to be classified as YA unless the nominating category specifically allows exceptions.
- Books must be first in a series or a standalone.
- Books must be at least 3 months old.
- Books must be available in print and not just ebook form. It is helpful to nominate books that are easy to access; so that, members do not struggle to acquire the book if it wins in the polls.
- No author promotions allowed.
- The top 5 nominations will be in the polls.
Next Steps: After nominations, the books will go to a poll for 7 days to determine the winner.

Melanie | 1911 comments I am going to nominate The School for Whatnots by Margaret Peterson Haddix. It's technically MG, but the mystery is intriguing, and I feel y'all will like it too. Plus it is a stand alone for those of you who want to avoid starting another series. I had other YA favs, but they were later books in a series or group books picks from the year.

Jennifer | 456 comments I'm nominating A Shadow in the Ember by Jennifer Armentrout. It's technically a New Adult, but like Melanie said...the YA books I liked most were group reads. :)
