Rachel (mimbza) | 109 comments Gulliver's Travels Travels into Several Remote Nations of the World. by Jonathan Swift I recently read one of the classics, Gulliver's Travels, published in 1726 by Irish author Jonathan Swift. Although he takes a snarky satirical view of the political climate of his times and cleverly places it into an imaginative world, I still found this a difficult book to fully enjoy as a modern reader. Here is ⭐⭐⭐ my review

Lilith (lilithp) | 1073 comments I read The Elusive Mrs. Pollifax by Dorothy Gilman. Thank you, Lynn, for recommending this series! I am loving it.

I'm impressed with all the research into the countries in which each book is set. It's like a travelogue: between the descriptions of the food, the language and the topography, I feel like I'm there. And the action is worthy of Clive Cussler!

Ron | 2711 comments Excellent, I found this book without even thinking of the prompt at the bookstore:

The Last Campaign: Sherman, Geronimo and the War for America .

I'm also going to be using it for the 'map' prompt.

Heat Wave

Since the character's name is Nikki Heat.

Laura Ruth Loomis | 238 comments I'm currently reading "Armadale" by 19th-century mystery writer Wilkie Collins. There are FOUR separate characters named Allan Armadale, so I guess this one qualifies!
