R. Erika | 4 comments Hi all! I just started using Medium to publish blog entries/stories, while I work on my longer content. Are any of you on Medium? Hoping to connect with a few of you over there, or if you use something else, can you link to it? Here's a link to my first story:

Ruqayyah | 951 comments Hi! Write from your heart- write what inspires you, interests you- what you would want to read. If you have no ardour for a topic, there is no point in writing about it because your lack of passion for it may seep into your piece. I write about things that make me happy or passionate- like mental health and self-love. I have also started writing about writing itself- I enjoy it, which is the main thing. Write something you have extensive knowledge on there too. I also have added past essays, which I no longer need.
What topics interest you?
Food, reading, politics, AI, religion, science, a conspiracy theory?
To start off, you may want to list all the books of 2022 you read.

Aditi- | 5 comments That paragraph felt like it was written by Christopher Pondiexter. Wow.
Sometimes it is hard for me to choose only one specific topic to write about. Usually even when I write about books, it starts getting a bit boring.
The topics that i am passionate about are probably politics, conspiracy theories, feminist history, Academics and product reviews. I will start writing about some of these soon. Thanks for all the tips!
I am also starting a blog website called 'Revolutionaries' but have not figured out what to write about specifically.
Do you happen to know a good outlining space? Plus I would love to know if you work on stories!

Aditi- | 5 comments Like in process or already done fictional pieces, I guess?

Ruqayyah | 951 comments Ahah thank you!
Oh and I never stick to one topic and switch it up to not only keep things interesting for me but for readers too.
Now, is it boring for you to write, as it gets tiresome or repetitive or is it just you thinking it will be? Because you have to be careful with your self-critic because sometimes it can be pretty harsh!
Those are great topics!
You can start with 'What {topic} means to me, as a { }.'
That sounds like a great blog title! Hmm, again it can be a mix of topics; where you put your Medium articles too or for one specific topic.
Maybe talk about prevalent things for your generation/background/age/gender/job role etc.
Don't feel compelled to write- let it flow.
Your pieces can vary in length too.
To think of a topic that means a lot to you- look at what you read mostly- look at the tags- which pop up the most?
What news are you more interested in?
Sometimes the idea will come at the most random and inopportune moment ever but that's okay.
By outlining space, do you mean a website or method?
I use Google Docs for most things, as well as just writing on paper lol.
I am currently working on a few stories and books! I have some of my poems and tips on Medium-if you would like some direction, let me know!

Aditi- | 5 comments Wow. You must be really experienced!
I am thinking of experiment with my writing so I'll try these tips too!
By the outline spaces, I need a mind mapping website or just a software that organizes ideas?
It's amazing for you to ask, but you've already done much for me. Thank you for everything! Btw I would love to read your pieces if you need a BETA Reader. I am a mystery and thriller writer, poet and artist too!
