Christos | 219 comments This year I had read 11 out of 12 of the picks before they were announced. How many has everyone else read? I only missed Hunt the Stars.

Chris K. | 415 comments I had only read Rivers of London and Elric of Melnibone before they were announced.

Trike | 11208 comments I think 3 for me.

Rivers of London
Elric
Six Wakes

However, I did buy Machinehood months before it was chosen, I just haven’t gotten around to reading it yet*, and I coincidentally ordered A Master of Djinn from the library before that was picked, so I’m taking 1/2credit for each. :p

* I have this weird quirk where the books I purchase tend to languish for years while library books get read immediately. I guess the due date thing spurs me to read them.

and I've re-read ROL several times ;-P

John (Taloni) Taloni (johntaloni) | 5196 comments In recent memory, only Rivers of London. My taste in authors tends to be deep rather than broad, so I don't necessarily discover stuff until the author has been around a while. One of the reasons to be part of this club, learn new things.

It's not weird, it's normal. Due dates are important, if you own it, you can read it any time.

There were only 11 picks this year. June was the Jenny memorial month.

I had read only 2.

"Rivers of London" and "The Jasmine Throne"

Only 1 which is unusual for me. Rivers of London which will surprise no one.

I forgot Pandora’s Star! That’s 4 + 1/2 and 1/2 for me, then. 😁

John (Nevets) Nevets (nevets) | 1903 comments Pandora's Star and Rivers of London for me.

Both were also fairly recent reads. I think Pandora's Star was 2 years ago, and Rivers of London was maybe 6 months before the pick.

John (john) (dowdykitchenman) | 166 comments Also 4 - Pandora's Star, A Master of Djinn, Machinehood, Six Wakes. (Didn't re-read any; read 5 other picks post-)

RJ - Slayer of Trolls (hawk5391yahoocom) Elric, nothing else.

message 16: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 1779 comments Only Rivers of London for me, although I’d read the previous stories in the Djinn-verse.

You're right, I forgot about that. I just counted how many books I didn't read and assumed it amounted to 11.
