You’re reading some books I’m interested in Bob. The Yearling is definitely one of those.

Let’s keep up all those 4 and 5 star reads!

I hope you love it as I did, Laurie. I saw the movie that Julian Fellowes (Downton Abbey) produced a few years ago. Back then I had no idea who Trollope was. Now I want to read all of his books!

Lori Keeton | 1498 comments Completed the members choice challenge on 5-2 and working on the others. I have promised myself to complete the Old and New for the first time this year. And I'm filling in F/NF books as they come and it seems to be working well. The Old/New pairings aren't coming along so easy though.

Excellent progress, Lori. I somehow felt like everything had failed last year when I didn't complete The Old and New.

Lori Keeton | 1498 comments Well victory for me this year as I just completed my New and Old for the first time with Leaving Cheyenne by Larry McMurtry. I only liked it enough for 3 stars though. I couldn’t really get into the strange love triangle between 2 men and a woman. But it’s finished and hooray!

I have slowed down so much the latter half of the year and have left many of my challenges behind and haven’t written as many reviews. Right now I only need 4 more short stories to complete that one. I’m sure I can do that. The only other one that I might be able to complete is the Fiction/nonfiction but we shall see.

It’s been fun doing Bingo and the Buffet this year but I will have to be more choosy next year about what I will plan. Hope everyone else enjoys the rest of their reading year. Can’t believe we only have less than 2 months left. I’m going to read things I feel like reading for the rest of the year.

Lori Keeton | 1498 comments Thanks everyone! I’m pleased with the books I’ve read for my challenges this year overall and am glad I figured out a successful choosing for my Old and new this year. I will be considering what I’d like to read for this next year. Now’s the time since we have to lock it in in less than 2 months!! Yikes!

Congrats, Lori. I always feel I have accomplished something when I finish the Old and New! I am also going to read what I want from here. Some challenges just won't get finished and that is okay--I had a good time. Sounds like you had a good time too!

Sue K H (sky_bluez) | 3694 comments Congratulations on your challenges, Lori! I think 4 Fiction/Nonfiction is outstanding. I love the idea of that one but can't get going on it. Next year I'm making it a priority.

I love to see that you read Circe and Housekeeping. I loved those two.
