Just completed #8 (celebrity memoir) - Born a Crime: Stories From a South African Childhood by Trevor Noah. While this book is not comedic and contains real stories of trauma, it is told with a perspective that gives the reader a bit of space to process it all. Writing is good, and I truly appreciate the reality he shares. Definitely worth reading! 5 stars

11/50 complete
30. A book that's on a celebrity book-club list - Our Missing Hearts read 2/9/2023 (Reese Witherspoon's book club list)

Just completed #46 (pet character) - Lost in the Moment and Found by Seanan McGuire. How the author manages to fit so much heart and world into so few pages is nothing short of magic! This book tackles one of the hardest themes yet, but I so appreciate the author’s disclaimer. While I was left with lots of questions, I hope they will be answered in the next installment. Definitely worth reading! 5 stars

Just completed #4 (first-time author) - The Day the Falls Stood Still by Cathy Marie Buchanan. Really interesting story about Niagara Falls at the turn of the last century. Loved the descriptions of the Falls and the history of humans impacts on it. Really like the characters and the story between all of them. My only critique is it seemed a bit stilted at the beginning. Definitely worth reading! 4 stars
