Stephanie A-M (steph818) | 36 comments So how was 2022 for you? We still have a few weeks left but did you reach your goal? Are you close? I met my goal of 100 books. I have 3 on my "currently reading" list and I am not sure if I am going to finish or just focus on doing a wrap up for the year and get started on my goals for next year

Darnetta (nettabscott) | 2 comments I upped my goal from 150 to 200 and I’m 8 books away from my goal so I will definitely complete my goal.

Ready to start my 2023 list!

Stephanie A-M (steph818) | 36 comments That's amazing. Congratulations!! Do. you have any themes or challenges in mind for the upcoming year?

message 4: by Darnetta (new)

Darnetta (nettabscott) | 2 comments No I might try a theme this year
I am still debating

Essence Cropper | 3 comments 2022 reading was decent. I had a goal of 45 and I've only read 25 books. I'm done for the year and I'm not concerned about finishing it. I read some good books and honestly I DNF'd more books than ever this year. 2023 will be the same goal, but I'm hoping to do more challenges like the A-Z and 5,000 page goal, which I did complete this year.

Wow! That's awesome! I hope to have more time to read in 2023. My goal this year was 50 and I'm currently at 88.

Bookwurm637 | 13 comments You guys are amazing! O barely ekked out 70. And the last 3 of that I'm currently reading. The problem is I'm constantly being distracted by a new book, so I have a lot of start ups that I dnf.

Yolanda Knight- Palmer | 23 comments I finished my goal of 100 books yesterday, so proud of myself.

Stephanie (prettyavidreader20) | 2 comments I completed my goodreads reading challenge for the first time since 2017 - read 30 books this year. It was a mix of novellas and longer books though (not knocking those at all!), so I want to meet my goal next year with 200+ pg books. I am currently reading 3, and want to start a longer novel before the end of the year. Goal is 35 next year - have to be realistic with myself LOL

Stephanie A-M (steph818) | 36 comments I love it. Yesss for being "unbothered". I like the goals you are considering

Stephanie A-M (steph818) | 36 comments New books are THEE very best distraction. Here's to NEVER being bored.

message 12: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie A-M (steph818) | 36 comments Congratulations on reaching 100!!

message 13: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie A-M (steph818) | 36 comments 35 is an excellent goal. Drop your first title once you select it.

message 14: by Nikki (new)

Nikki Brookins | 6 comments I had a goal of reading 20 books but ending up reading around 24 books. This doesn’t include my Audible if I include my Audible books, my total for the year is about 53 books. To the ones that read 100 books a year how do you do it?

message 15: by Kiara Lazhae (new)

Kiara Lazhae | 3 comments I had a small goal of 12 books which I completed around September if I'm not mistaken. For 2023 I want to try to read about 30 books, 3 of those being ebooks.

message 16: by Keisha (new)

Keisha | 34 comments I always set my goal at 25. So far I have 67 listed as read but there are a few books that I need to add to the list. This is the most I’ve ever read in 1 year!

message 17: by Aurora (new)

Aurora (rubyemma775) | 65 comments I read about 8 books a month (2 per week) to get to the 100 a year. This year I focused on listening to books have not been disappointed too much!

message 18: by Shaylah (new)

Shaylah | 6 comments I started Goodreads reading challenge later in the year like in September and I gave myself the goal to read 20 books by the end of December. So far, I’ve read 18 books.

For a moment, I thought I wouldn’t hit the goal because I didn’t read much in October. To make sure I made the goal I stopped reading books that were 350+ pages long and have stayed under 300 pages, it really helped to reach the goal.

message 19: by Beverlee (new)

Beverlee | 5 comments My original goal was 32 but I changed it to 25 when school started back in August. Reading is supposed to be what keeps me sane & I don’t want to take all joy away by focusing on the number of books read, the competition aspect (even if it’s just me). I’m 3 books away from completing the challenge and have 6 that I’m currently reading. December 16th is when break begins and I am ready:-) .

Shana (brownetime08) | 57 comments I'm loving all the reading! 🙌🏽🙌🏽💙 This year I've almost reached my goal of 130 books. 🎉🎉

I'm starting the year with either 'The Light We Carry' or 'Red Lip Theology'.

message 22: by Shana (new)

Shana (brownetime08) | 57 comments I also want to read The Light We Carry
