Susie | 768 comments Finished my first challenge read of the year with The Lais of Marie De France: With Two Further Lais in the Original Old French

I gave it 4 stars. It was a nice easy read and I enjoyed the stories, as well as learning about the history/mysteries surrounding them.
Also works in 4 out of my 5 challenges, which is delicious!

Sue K H (sky_bluez) | 3694 comments Great Challenges, Susie! I love seeing The Black Flower: A Novel of the Civil War on your Old & New. A few of us did a buddyread of that last year and we all loved it.

I saw the film of The Diving Bell and the Butterfly and it wrecked me. It was so good, sad but beautiful. Some day I may read the book when I'm in the mood for a good cry.

The Lais of Marie De France sounds good. I need to add that and some others from your list to my tbr.

Don't you love starting with a book that can be used in so many challenges? Great start, Susie.

Thanks for the warning on The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. I will choose wisely about when to read it
