The Billionaire and the Virgin discussion

or should i clarify and say 'almost everyone'? while i understand the need to be near their leading man, there's just something that's a bit unrealistic about how they move to NYC and how they live here once they get here. I think that it's romantic and all, but living in NYC the idea of making enough money even as an assistant for a billionaire nad then living in the types of apartments that they live is just doesn't work for me.

thoughts? i know that i should just 'suspend my disbelief' for a bit while reading these books, it's just hard when all of the men just about get their lovely leading ladies to move to the city.

to me, what was more unrealistic was that she was going to move to NYC to work as an assistant who makes $200,000 !!! What kind of assistant makes THAT kind of money?! DOCTORS make this kind of money, NOT secretaries...
But yes - if someone offered me $200,000 to be a secretary, I'd have no problem renting an apartment in New York and living there either ...
