I only now realised how many years passed, because The Postman came out almost twenty years ago, and I still can remember how I waited for it with very high expectations. It is so weird thought.

Anyway, this is not our first encounter with post-apocalyptic world, if you are familiar with our discussions of The Road, the somewhat bleaker prediction of our future selves. The Postman by David Brin won a couple of awards and was nominated for some more. The movie was not so praised, unfortunately, but I would rather like to hear your opinions. What are your thoughts, on both the book and the movie?
