An interesting, somewhat complicated story with many characters about WWI vet Max who investigates the suspicious suicide of his British diplomat father. Not as suspenseful as I thought it would be but I enjoyed the writing style.

This time, author Graham Brack has him investigating a 'locked-room' Murder In Maastricht where he is supposed to be engaged in a debate about witches. An impossible crime scene? Witches?

Sarah | 385 comments My review of Three Widows by Patricia Gibney. While this is the 12th book in a fabulous series, it could be read as a standalone. The resolution of the crimes left me scratching my head a little, but it was still a great read!

Gayle | 111 comments I finished listening to Searching for Sylvie Lee by Jean Kwok - 4*.

A intriguing story of a young Chinese immigrant woman, her successes and difficulties, who goes missing and the adoring younger sister who looks for answers. Enjoyed the complexities of the family and the mix of Chinese, Dutch and American cultures.
