Kerri_M | 785 comments I didn't have a 5 star read at all in 2022, so happy to have my first one for 2023 in The Woman in the Library by Sulari Gentill . It was also my first forget-all-plans-and-read-it-in-a-day book for the year.

I was a bit surprised to see that the average rating on Goodreads was quite low, but read a few reviews after I finished, and it seems like a "loved it" v "didnt get it" type of book. Loved it
The Woman in the Library by Sulari Gentill ★★★★★

She basically had me hooked by starting the book with a letter (yeah I know it was an email).

Gayle | 111 comments I finished listening to The Diamond Eye: A Novel by Kate Quinn - 4 *.

Another well-written and interesting story by Quinn with a very likeable female sniper who was in the Russian army fighting the German Nazis.

A thriller with a good amount of action and some search dogs that do some great work.

Carolyn | 2081 comments In Ashes in the Snow by Oriana Ramunno Ashes in the Snow by Oriana Ramunno a criminologist is sent to Auschwitz in 1943 to find the murderer of a doctor - one who carries out human research. A harrowing but worthwhile read.

Carolyn | 2081 comments The Loch by Fran Dorricott The Loch by Fran Dorricott was disappointingly a bit predictable and not as creepy and suspenseful as I'd hoped from the premise.
