PattyMacDotComma | 813 comments The Secret Scripture, by Sebastian Barry, is the mysterious story of the most beautiful girl in Sligo, Ireland, who has been in a mental institution for decades and is now 100. No wonder Barry was Ireland's Laureate for Irish Fiction. It's terrific.

Carolyn | 2081 comments The Sins of our Fathers (Rebecka Martinsson Arctic Murders #6) by Åsa Larsson The Sins of our Fathers by Åsa Larsson is excellent, well translated, Swedish noir. A mixture of a cold case with a recent murder, when a body is found in the freezer of a murdered man.

Gayle | 111 comments I finished listening to The Blood Spilt by Asa Larsson - 3.5*.

An interesting, noir read set in Sweden about the murder of a controversial female priest. It focused more on the characters so not much suspense.
