Gregory (gregamused) | 20 comments I did something I don't ever do. I bought six Harlequin books. I ran across them at our local Meijers store (sort of like a Super Walmart for those who don't have one of these near them). Harlequin decided to reprint six books (original writing and covers) from their very early days. According to some background info in each of these books, they bought a British publisher back around 1949 which seemed to have published many mystery/crime novels in those early days. The covers are retro-50's cool and sound like decent reads. For those interested, here they all are (all part of the Harlequin Vintage Collection):

You Never Know with Women (Harlequin Vintage Collection) by James Hadley Chase I'll Bury My Dead (Harlequin Vintage Collection) by James Hadley Chase Pardon My Body (Harlequin Vintage Collection) by Dale Bogard Virgin with Butterflies (Harlequin Vintage Collection) by Tom Powers Kiss Your Elbow (Harlequin Vintage Collection) by Alan Handley No Nice Girl (Harlequin Vintage Collection) by Perry Lindsay
