are they necessary to the plot? are they good?

They aren’t necessary for the plot. I read them and they basically start about half way through the last book and go half way into the next book just from a different characters POV. I liked to read them though because it gives you a little bit of insight on what is happening in other characters minds.

I was debating on whether I should get them or not, I think they’re like 10 dollars each. 😕

I just read them on PDF’s. I read most of the books on PDF’s because my library only books 1 - 4 and 6

i have read all the novellas and honestly i only enjoyed the second one. it's the only novella that actually helped understand the story/characters better

Even though I dislike the series itself, I'd still recommend reading them. Not because they are necessary for the plot but because they help you understand other characters POV and feelings.
