Oh, wow! I’m so unhip, thanks for sharing. I’m “only” 58 - maybe by the time I’m in my 70s, I’ll be cool, like Joyce and Elizabeth…btw, Helen Mirren would be perfect! I wondered when a film would be coming…

Several of these sound fun, will be adding to my TBR list! At least the quality of the copycats appear to have improved since Mom’s heyday in the early 2000s ;)!

I think there are quite a few books along those lines being published - The Marlow Murder Club series by Robert Thorogood, creator of the TV series Death in Paradise, has a 77-year-old detective. Has anyone tried that series?

What a great name! As long as you don't mind being an old hen, aka 'a tough old bird'.

I tried The Marlow Murder Club, but wasn't interested enough to continue the series. A book that seems to be popular but I didn't even finish is Killers of a Certain Age.

A book that has a similar premise to Killers of a Certain Age that I did like is The Old Woman with the Knife. Ageing assassins should not be taken lightly.

And I'm about to start another book that I assume is about assassins, Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone

Ok, that’s an eye-catching title! ; )

It isn't about assassins, Sandy, but I did really enjoy it.

I found that out quite soon. Just finished it and I also enjoyed it.
