Quick question because I'm in a few different challenges and trying to get my life in order over here, do books count for both the mini challenge and the regular cards? I just added 5 more books and one of them was finished after the mini started and I'll move it over to that thread as long as I can put them on both. Also, I should be able to read a good chunk of books over the next few weeks to help knock out some of the mini/letters left.

For anyone thinking about the mini - for the flying task, it can now be any type of flying, not just plane or spaceship. A broom or the like would also work.

Hey, I had to switch my Blue 3 book but I'll definitely finish the two coloured covers! Instead of Brave New World, I went with Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover, and I should finish it by the weekend - it'll probably fit some spots in the mini. I'll take a look just now!

About this task, Ugly Love has characters that are pilots, so there may be a scene where indeed one of them is flying an airplane. Alma, I saw you read the book, do you recall if that is the case? :)

I think it is a bit more about the relationship between one of the pilots and the main character. Planes are mentioned occasionally. But I cannot remember anything too specific about flying a plane. When you are done reading it,you’ll understand this 😂. I could be wrong though. I have read it a while ago and my memory is not what it used to be.

They DEFINITELY fly away on a dragon at the end of the first book so if no one has found flying by then, I got that covered :)

A quick update, we have a little over a week left for this month. We have finished 8 of our 15 hands and have 16 cards left for the main hand. For the mini, we have 19 of the 40 main tasks done and 3 of the 6 bonus tasks complete.

For the main hand we still need:
Blue 3 - Diana, please let us know if you won't be able to finish.
Wild Draw 4 - Diana claimed, but we may want a back up. Needs to duplicate any of the color cards. Let me know if you have read one or are reading one that works.

Thanks Charly, and everyone! The captains were all asked to update their spreadsheets yesterday. We are currently ranked #13 of 26. This is great as much of the difference has to do with how quickly teams have finished hands. In the end, ranks have a lot to do with the luck of the cards.

I found at least 1 book, maybe 2 that meet the teal requirement. Waiting on final judgement for the 2nd. I am happy to read unless someone else wants to find one.

Let me know if counts as teal? I'm happy to re-read that one pretty much whenever :) It is one of my favs & I love re-reading books.

I am reading also Indigo Ridge. I’d say it’ll meet the criteria for blue cover. I’ll be done with it in a couple of days and you can have it as back up

Hey friends - I'm having a great reading month!
Finished my last book & halfway done with my teal book . Also wanted to throw out there that I've been listening to on audio for about three weeks. I only have a few hours left so I'll get that one done in the next week. That will count as a book about royalty for the Feb mini if no one has found/finished something else first.

For the mini: we have completed all but 14 of the 40 in the main hand and half of the extras.

Then the other exciting news, our March hand has been announced! It isn't bad at all. 16 hands this time, 14 color cards with 2 Wild Draw 2s. Feel free to start claiming!

They don't fit in any of the other needed numbers that I see.

Stephanie, how did you like Henrietta Lacks? I loved it, but I know the style didn't work well for some. I work with cells and I love medical ethics questions.
